Spread along the banks of the historic Brandywine River in horse & fox country, this Pennsylvania green spot is your base camp for Philadelphia, Lancaster, and the historic Brandywine Valley.

Get away from the stress of work and everyday life and reconnect with each other, your family and friends, new friends, and the great outdoors.  Choose from a variety of RV sites including Back-Ins, Pull Thrus and Deluxe Patio Sites.  We offer Riverside Tenting, Camping Cabins, and Deluxe Cabins furnished with the comforts of home.  Enjoy sitting around a campfire, sharing stories, and roasting Smores.  Swim at the pool, sun on the deck & shop for all your vacation gifts at the KOA store.  The kids will want to play mini golf, ride safari bikes, swing on the playground, shoot hoops, or pan for treasure at the Embreeville Gem Mine.  On weekends enjoy planned activities and events such as live entertainment, flashlight lollipop hunts, rocket launch, ice cream socials, and hayrides.

Our meandering, countryside, river is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing.   Bring your own canoe or kayak, rent our yellow canoes and take off from the KOA Canoe Landing, or take a day trip with a local outfitter.

Take a guided tour from the KOA to Philadelphia and Valley Forge where you will go back in time to the birthplace of our nation and witness the revolutionary encampment of George Washington and the Continental Army.  You are close to the farmlands of Lancaster, home to the oldest Amish settlement in America, where horse & buggy is still a primary form of transportation.  Be sure to visit all the farm stands for fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods.    Save room for the woopie pies, homemade sticky buns, and shoo fly pie.

Be amazed by our local du Pont gardens and estates including Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Hagley, and Nemours.  If you are a hiker or bird watcher we are surrounded with state and county land preserves that are just waiting for you to explore.  Visit our wineries and taste award winning wines that are created here from locally grown grapes.   If you love mushrooms you cant miss the Kennett Mushroom Festival, every September, in the mushroom capitol of the world, Kennett Square, PA.

Check out our event schedule for all of this years fun activity and join us on your next Holiday where memorable adventures begin!

KOA Care Camps

KOA Care Camps

This badge has been earned by this KOA Campground for compassion and support of KOA Care Camps. It is given out following our Big Weekend, and is in effect for one year.

Someday, cancer will be nothing more than a memory. Until that day, KOA Care Camps are here to bring hope, joy, healing and fun to kids with cancer. Working together, KOA owners, the KOA home office and great KOA campers like you raise funds for a single cause: to send kids with cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a great time with other kids who understand what they're going through. They do it all while receiving the treatments they need, absolutely free of charge! Until cancer is a memory, KOA Care Camps will continue to help these sweet kids make terrific memories of their own.
