shaded, quiet, friendly, helpful. Would have given a 5 star but the grounds need the weeds pulled and mulch applied in flower beds. Mowed better. Just a little lawn care and clean up would have made it more inviting. Our fire pit was too close to the neighbors vehicle as well as the picnic table. It was fine for just the 2 of us for a short stay, it was close to Shipshewana.

Very safe and the staff are very helpful. Clean and well organized. I wish there are more fun at night for adults.

clean, but needs updating and sites are tight.

Campsite was a little dirty, trash in the fire pit, dog poo in the grass, garbage chewed up by an animal in the grass. Kids leaving chewing gum in the pool/unsupervised. Fishing pond needs serious attention lots of garbage in the pond and extremely full of algae. No ice to be purchased, had to go else where. Firewood isn’t even de-barked and is expensive.

Dirty with facilities that need a lot of TLC. Odd and connected permanent residences. Would not recommend this KOA. A shame to the brand.

Nice place. But no cell service and the campground Wi-Fi did not work.

Very pleasant. We will be back.
Jun 17, 2023
Loud road noise. Spaces too tight to have a fire.

Our stay was ok .I thought the spot they put us in was too small . Also being a owner of two small dogs I seen way to much lack of cleaning up after your pet evidence .

Nice small park. Some road noise being close to highway intersection. Nice trees level site.

Start with the positives. Clean well taken care of. Great extra's, mini golf, sand volleyball. catch and release lake, dog park. in this day and age non-working wifi was a huge minus.

Terrible aunt infestation around campsites. Showers were dirty and very low water pressure. Way too noisy from the highway. Staff were polite and professional.

Nice level ser up and quiet.

Compared to other KOA camps this one was not nice. Many “resident” campers and bathrooms not in the best shape.

Was a quick stay. Internet left much to be desired. Especially challenging due to the rain which I know couldn't be helped. But with so many modern technologies available it would be nice to get some bandwidth to use

We stayed for the weekend while visiting with family in the area. It was perfect!

Enjoyed it for the most part, check was efficient but not particularly friendly. Site was level and hook ups handy. Only issue was neighbor fire pit haad been moved very close to our side of their lot putting excess smoke in to our rv. Washrooms where clean and while kept. Overall was a good place to stay.

Nice and quiet campground. Great little catch and release pond.

I normally don’t normally rate places but for some reason I felt obligated to rate this KOA. I can’t say that anything truly stood out during our stay but we just really like it here. I would have to say this is definitely in our top three KOAs that we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. We will definitely be back.

First or all, we miss the escort to the campsite as was the case by former management. The campsite numbering is a bit ambiiguous. Secondly, We feel the campsites are a bit too small which makes moving in and out difficult at times. Third, it would be nice to have all the campsites have a level platform for picnic tables. Finally, for safety sake, the pool needs close monitoring.

We really enjoyed our stay, the campground was clean and quiet. Our dogs loved the pet walk, it was very clean and pick up bags were aviable for use.

The campground was about average. We were given a site close to highway 13 and it was noisy there so they graciously allowed us to move to a different site farther away and it was quieter.

Middlebury KOA remains to be clean and well kept. Their staff are very courteous and very accommodating. I always look forward to my visits and always recommend them to my fellow RVers.

Stay was good park was nice and clean. Wished there was rain . So everything would have been green

The park was where we needed to be. It is a neglected park. We were there for 2 nights you have 3 DUMPSTERS and they were ALL OVER the top we had to put our trash on the ground. They were just a place for rats mice and bugs it also made the park look VERY unappealing because they are right at the entrance. It looks like it is taking in money but nothing is going back in. The little cabins look sad

Would go back if I was in the area. Bathroom could use upgrade.

Nice clean facility with friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night on our way home. The kids had fun playing basketball and playing on the equipment outside. They also liked the ice cream both at the park and across the Hwy at the ice cream stand.

I would have liked a bigger spot so we could have left our trailer connected. We had to take our bikes off and disconnect. Not sure if I did something wrong with the reservation as you know how long our trailer is.

The only thing this KOA had going for it was the location to the attractions. The site was slanted, no where to sit on a flat surface. The tree at the site dropped leaf like things all over the motor home and car. The staff as they went by on the golf cart wouldn't even wave. The locals living at the place thought the roads were a racetrack. Not 5MPH Very transient campground. Mostly overnighters.

Only had one night as I passed through the area. Nice campground, clean and appeared well maintained. I had a pull through spot, gravel/rock and it was smooth and level. It is not a fancy resort, but it is a very nice campground. Easy to access. Would stay again.

Quiet 1 night stay... Hot shower and friendly staff. Thanks.

The staff was nice and friendly. The campground is run down and most of the amenities were broken or unusable. The game room/event center was a joke, everything was broken and smelled. We stay with (overpay compared to most campgrounds) KOA because they have certain standards and things for kids to do but not here, we had to go off-site for our entertainment. Very disappointed with this trip.

Nice KOA close to everything. Middlebury is a cute little area. Peaceful and quiet except for the occasional trucks using jake brakes, and of course, the “clopping” of all the Amish going by, which we loved. Large enough space for our 40’ 5th wheel and truck.

Very friendly staff. Well maintained. Sites typical of KOA. Stayed for one night on way west. Very quiet on a Saturday night in early May. I recommend if you need a quick overnight or a longer stay in the area.

This KOA campground in Indiana was a lovely surprise on what could have otherwise been a disappointing spring break. After our initial plans to head south and Camp with another family were cancelled due to severe thunderstorms, we looked into what else was open for camping closer to the great lakes area, and found this campground. A couple calls later and we were all set and arrived and I have a hard time putting into words how wonderful the staff is. They're genuinely friendly and very helpful! Fortunately the campground was nearly empty and we were able to get two nice sites together so we could be next to our camping friends and we all had a great time. While tent camping would probably be OK too, our small travel trailer was perfect. There were some HUGE travel trailers there, quite possibly the biggest I've seen. But there are a lot of pull-through sites to accommode that and all the sites have a mostly-level drive. There are cabins too but we didn't look into the details of those. The kids enjoyed riding bikes up and down the camp road, and there was a little pond which offered license-free catch-and-release fishing. I was not prepared for this (and even more surprised when my son said he wanted to put down his electronics and go fishing with his friends!) so I had to drive a few miles into town and buy a rod and hooks and worms at a local sports shop. My son even caught his first fish! And our friends daughter stayed occupied catching garter snakes. Not that I'm a huge outdoorsman, but it was a very nice parent moment to see all the kids off their electronics participating in nature. There's restaurants and a great donut shop nearby and lots of horse and buggy traffic from the local Amish population. This was nice as it gave us a chance not to gawk, but rather to discuss with our children about different lifestyle choices and possible rewards/challenges associated with that, and hopefully instilled some acceptance of other people's choices. There are a couple nice hiking trails on the campground as well. They're perfect for just taking a stroll through the woods with one little hill to contend with, and a little minigolf course for the kiddos to play on a bit. There is also a fenced in dog run for Fido to do his business off-leash, just please pick up after your pet. I cleaned a lot of old dog-logs just so I/my dog didn't step in it, and was rather irritated that dog owners wouldnt have done that themselves. I imagine in high summer when the campground is packed, it might not be as ideal for a quiet camping trip, but that also opens up more chance for social interaction and those quirky little temporary camp friendships that kids are so adept at creating, so I bet it'd still be fun, just in a different way. Overall I recommend this KOA (more than any other KOA or certain picnic basket stealing bear campgrounds I've been to in the past!), and will likely return, even if theres no other cancelation to drive the necessity. It was just a good time.
