The Elkhart County KOA is a comfortable retreat from day-to-day pressures, centrally located near the home of the RV Industry and one of the nation's largest Amish communities. Enjoy the simple and quiet life of the Amish here in northern Indiana, visiting the local towns of Shipshewana and Middlebury where the clip-clop of the horse's hooves will bring back a feel of simple living. Experience the Shipshewana Flea Market, home of nearly 900 vendors and held on Tuesday and Wednesday every week from May through October. Our KOA offers shuttle service to the Flea Market for a small fee (5/15-9/15), so take advantage of this convenience and save your fuel and energy for the Flea Market itself. We also offer a shopping tour which runs on Thursdays (5/15- 9/15 ), taking you to all the back roads Amish shops, through Amish Farm country, and includes narration for you to learn more about the Amish lifestyle. You can also enjoy a self-guided CD tour of the Amish Heritage Trail provided by the local county visitor's center, along with a map of the area this is a great way for you to leisurely enjoy the area at your own pace.

Elkhart County is also the "RV Capitol of the World" and you can enjoy the area by stopping at your favorite manufacturer for a tour of their plant. In addition, the RV/MH Hall of Fame is located about 11 miles from us (we offer shuttle service to the RV Hall of Fame pending availability of the shuttle van). We have many guests stay with us while they are having warranty work done on their RVs, turning a chore into a vacation!

Our KOA has much to offer, whether you come to visit the Amish, the RV Capitol, or just overnight. With so much to see and do, you could easily spend a week or two and never run out of things to experience! KOA Care Camps

KOA Care Camps

This badge has been earned by this KOA Campground for compassion and support of KOA Care Camps. It is given out following our Big Weekend, and is in effect for one year.

Someday, cancer will be nothing more than a memory. Until that day, KOA Care Camps are here to bring hope, joy, healing and fun to kids with cancer. Working together, KOA owners, the KOA home office and great KOA campers like you raise funds for a single cause: to send kids with cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a great time with other kids who understand what they're going through. They do it all while receiving the treatments they need, absolutely free of charge! Until cancer is a memory, KOA Care Camps will continue to help these sweet kids make terrific memories of their own.
