Texas Folklife Festival
June 13-15, 2008

Learn, dance, sing and feast at the 37th Texas Folklife Festival, the annual tribute to Texas' diverse cultural heritage.

Independence Day in San Antonio
July 4th

The biggest Independence Day event in San Antonio is the July 4th Celebration at Woodlawn Lake Park. The festivities begin with the parade around the park in the morning, followed by musical performances, carnival rides, games, contests, and arts and craft activities all day. Lights of Liberty! - Six Flags Fiesta Texas 8:00 p.m. Country music performance beginning at 8:00pm followed by the 30-minute fireworks show beginning at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks display can be viewed from anywhere in the park.

River Art Group Festival
October 4-5

The Festival is held annually in the charming Historic Arts Village of La Villita in downtown San Antonio, Texas. We invite you to apply to our fine arts festival, which features great art, 28 unique specialty shops, food, and just steps away from the world renowned Riverwalk experience. Visit beautiful San Antonio, sell your artwork, and make it a vacation all in one.

Wurstfest
October 31-November 9

A unique celebration rich in German culture and full of Texas fun! Enjoy great music, good fun, food and special events at Oktoberfest, Texas Style in the German heritage center of Texas, New Braunfels just 20 miles from KOA.

Holiday Season on the River Walk
December

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, San Antonio celebrates with the River Parade and Lighting Ceremony. 150,000 people line the River Walk for this parade that culminates in the lighting of over 120,000 lights along the River Walk. These lights stay on through the holiday season until January 1st.

2008 Valero Alamo Bowl
December 29

The 2008 Valero Alamo Bowl will kickoff on Monday, December 29 at 7 p.m. CST in a nationally televised game on ESPN unopposed from any other college or NFL football games on network television.

New Year's Eve party
December 31

Celebrate San Antonio is San Antonio's biggest New Year's Eve party. Hundreds of thousands of San Antonians take to the streets of downtown San Antonio to ring in the New Year. The festivities take place on South Alamo Street between Market and Durango Streets and in La Villita.

The festival has several stages with musical entertainment, over 50 food and beverage booths, family activities and more. The evening culminates at midnight with a spectacular fireworks show that welcomes in the New Year. The fireworks are shot from the top of the 750-foot tall Tower of the Americas at midnight.

San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo
February 5-22

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo takes place at the AT&T Center. The fun-filled, family festival consists of many events, including the rodeo, livestock show, horse show, live concerts, carnival, dancing, shopping and more.

Fiesta San Antonio
April 17-26

One of America's truly great festivals, Fiesta San Antonio takes place every April to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto and to celebrate San Antonio's rich and diverse cultures. This year marks the celebration's 117th anniversary.
