Dusty. Great bathrooms and showers

Spring 2024 - My husband and I spent a few days at the Wendover KOA in early spring, so the park wasn't bustling with activity. While we didn't utilize many of the amenities on offer, we found it to be quiet with average interior roads and access easy to navigate, albeit showing signs of wear typical of many KOAs. Our AT&T cell service worked great.

Needs more grass has a lot of thorns. Not good for kids and pets.

Just a single night. But the hookups were easy to navigate, the location was superb for my purposes, the staff were very friendly.

The grounds are infested with Goat Heads! I pulled out at least a dozen Goat Heads from his paws within the first hour of our stay, as we tried to take a walk around the outer edge of the camp ground. It was evident that they had just pulled something around the grounds to make some sort of space without them, but he even suffered right at our site. My first time trying a KOA, never again!

Great facilities. Great people. So relaxing, we stayed an extra day. No issues at all.

Most run down KOA we have ever seen.

great place

Because of the wind gusts my tent broke apart during the night. If the camp ground is impacted by wind to that extent, it would have been appreciated if I had been told that. I would have stayed in a hotel.

Large pull-through spaces and the park is very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the bathrooms are immaculate. Thank you Wendover KOA! We'll be back.

WOW the staff here are so wonderfully nice and helpful. good size spaces and close to everything. The only downside is that there are some little prickly stickers on the ground our dog would step on and we had to pull out of his feet. luckily the front desk warned us so we knew what to expect and where the fewest were located so we could take him out to pee safely. thank you wendover KOA

Really need to do something about the goat head stickers. ( weeds)

Place was old and run down. There were stickers all over so it was difficult to walk dogs on the road and dog park.

Great facility. The bathrooms/showers were exceptionally clean. The host was superb. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and friendly. It is Wendover, so, yes, you are in a desert. The KOA makes the most of its shade and the pull-thru sites are level and clean. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this for your next stay in Wendover!

The lady in the office was super helpful, super courteous. Very kind. Stayed overnight but we enjoyed it. Too many stickers, but other than that it was great.

Cold and lonely place

This was a winter weather stay. Pretty much everything shut down. The receptionist worked with us to provide power and access to water. Look forward to a better weather return trip

We regularly travel East on I 80 we usually stay in Elko but we wanted to stretch our travel day so we pulled into Wendover at sunset. We were greater by friendly staff and quickly got settled in a large level gravel site. Only a few winter travelers on site. Very quiet and felt safe. Dog park is not great but it works otherwise great overnighter.

Quiet, safe, good hookups, friendly staff, clean bathroom, just keep an eye out for the occasional bull head sticker patch between the pull ins.

We have stayed here quite often. Always a great stop for a night. Below freezing temps this time and we needed propane, even though it was late and cold the gentleman came out to fill the tank. My husband told him that he would come back to get the tank but the gentleman got his pickup and brought it to us. The women at the front desk was friendly and helpful also. Great stay !

Once again, my overnight stay was pleasant, quiet and relaxing after driving all day. Enjoyed sharing stories with KOA host, Lori! See y’all again in the spring.

Camp grounds completely empty when we arrived. We were in a 30 amp area of park. 1230 am mid nite a 45 ft class A pulled into site right beside us. Woke us up ran his loud diesel engine and generator all night. My complaint is 1 why was he put right besides us and 2 I think you should’ve know 30 amp spot isn’t enough for a rig that large. Restarea quality stay at best should have saved my mone

A very clean, comfortable well maintained Campground with reasonable rates, modern facilities and friendly staff! I especially appreciate the after hours check in option that allowed us to get off the road after encountering bad weather.

At $51 for water/electric only, it is severely overpriced. Got there at 3:22 and the office was closed, note on door said back at 4pm. Clerk came back at 3:55. We found our site assignment on the door and went and parked. Decided to unhook because it was easier than getting out several stacks of levelers to raise the back. Did two loads of laundry, $3 per load, very reasonable. All machines were working. Washers are newer. Dryers are like from the 1970's but still work! Bathrooms screamed 1970's but were clean and everything was working, though all the drain stoppers had been removed. Showers were clean and did get hot, but be careful because the water gets scalding. Recreation room locked up and just being used for storage. Pool closed for season. Mini-Golf fell into disrepair and long since abandoned. The dumpster area doesn't have a dumpster, just 4 trash cans. Cheaper than a dumpster I guess. Walked by the cabins and peeked in, noticed how clean the windows all were. Everything is clean. But maintenance is neglected. Picnic tables are weather worn and peeling. Broken screens on cabins. Door to sink room broken. Some outside lights don't work and looks like copper has been stolen from some street lights. The place was mostly deserted, we were on the north side which is water/electric only and by morning there were just 3 occupied sites out of 6 entire rows. The full hook-up sites on the south side were fuller but there were still 4 empty rows. Maybe the place is more seasonal. Place is located behind the Red Garter Casino but is very quiet. There is a 'Night Watchman' booth at the entrance but it is abandoned. There is a yellow KOA standard sign on the wall with the phone number to the manager but it is so old that it doesn't have the area code. Not even sure if you could dial 7-digits and have a call connect? Went into the office once the clerk came back and got officially checked in. All the coolers and freezers in the store are empty and un-plugged. Very little for sale in the store. Again, maybe they are more seasonal. A young couple who were car camping came in and asked how much it was for just a shower and how much for a tent-site. $10 for a shower, $40 for a tent site. I almost invited them to pay for an extra vehicle and stay in our site but they left before I was done checking in. I felt bad for them. This place was only ever 20% occupied. I'd have given them a tent site with showers for $20 if I were that clerk. Adjacent to the park on the south side is another section of trailers and mobile homes for permanent residents. To be able to use the dump site you have to drive out via the in-lane. Then you have to go past the abandoned night watchman shack to turn around and drive back in via the out-lane. And whoever does maintenance is un-skilled. I saw several sidewalks with plumbing running on top of the original sidewalk and then more concrete slathered on top of that so that you don't trip on the pipes. Who does that?

We arrived after the office had closed. But after reading the reviews I wanted to meet the manager or owners. I met Lucy the manager. There was not many campers buy she had placed our camping spot with a space btwn us and the other camper, that was very considerate of her. Showers very clean and the water pressure was great. I give this spot a thumbs up! 👍
