This was our very first visit to a KOA as new RV’ers, and we were very pleased with the amenities and the cleanliness of the campground. The staff was friendly and very helpful with our questions and guiding us on our journey’s into DC.. Highly recommend this campground..

Quiet, convenient, easy access, good location, overall a nice campground. Older, quaint, but met expectations in the off season. I would stay here again.

We had some rough weather, so we were limited with exploring the campground. The people next to us left 3 barking dogs in their trailer and left all day. The people on the other side were slamming doors and talking loud at 1 am. The staff was very nice and accommodating

Love the site. Everyone was sooo nice and I love that it is dog friendly. Will go back here again and try other KOAs in the future.

Facilities were nice and clean. The staff were extremely helpful! Also, the location really is great to get to Baltimore, DC, OR Annapolis. Great for exploring all the cities.

Well maintained. Pleasant staff. Restroom was very clean. Only complaint is spacing between sites is very tight.

You need to install cable. It’s pretty standard these days. Otherwise our one night stopover was uneventful. But after driving all day watching some TV would have been nice.

First of all, KOA campgrounds are always nice to stay at especially if you have kids. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

We loved our stay at Capitol! If we are ever in the area we will be checking Capitol for availability first. I could not believe the improvements that were made in less than a month. It changed the feel of the campground. Management was AMAZING! I now find myself comparing all campground facilities and staff to Capitols. This place is the benchmark for a great KOA!

This is a lovely campground in a wooded area. The restrooms are clean and the showers are individual with locking doors. Friendly front desk welcomes you. Would definitely go back

Stay was great. Chris was very helpful friendly and very nice. Plan to stay there again Only negative issue was someone open the gate to our truck while we were sleeping and sole our big pressure tank , very upset about that but that is not campground fault.

Our site was troublesome because of a curb & a drastic pitch. When we stay at Capitol KOA again, I would ask for another site. We arrived after the office closed for the day or I would have asked to move.

This KOA was wonderful. The staff was super helpful and nice! The campground is small and quiet. My kids loved the playground and amenities. There were lots of other kids as well. We will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect, we arrived late (after closing) an associate called us to asked if we were still going to arrive. We were driving not sure we would make it. it was so very reassuring. In the am we were greeted and assisted to take care of our nights stay even though they were closed on Monday. Great staff! First trip with our new travel trailer, we will not stay anywhere else on this route

Simple campground. We parked are RV for a week. Everyone was really nice and flexible. Remodeling the office, but always answered calls.

We’ve stayed here several times and love it. The manager was incredibly kind and hospitable. The sites are well maintain and I SO appreciate being open during the winter season. My kids LOVE the playground area and the beautiful wooded campground makes for fantastic family walks.

The manager was very pleasant. The sites were easy to access. Due to it being off season, many amenities were not available, which was understandable. The sites are mostly gravel and dirt, very little grass. The other major down side is the really loud traffic noise. Otherwise everything was good!

We visited Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival and stayed at the Washington DC / Capitol KOA Holiday campground. It rained every single day during our trip but it didn't dampen our spirits(pun intended). The KOA has a giant chess board, playground, ping pong table and pool near the main entrance. We stayed near the camp store and were a little concerned about noise/traffic. I will happily report that we didn't experience any of that. As I mentioned earlier, it was very rainy and we only took 1 picture of our site #6 which didn't flood. There is a dog park which my puppies were happy to play in (between rain storms). I would recommend checking out the camp store as they have so many cute items to help commemorate your visit as well as items you may have run out of or forgot. I would love to go back and visit during a dryer time.

We only to spend a few days visiting Washington DCstayed one noght as we were traveling through the area, but its in a perfect location to spend a few days visitng Washington DC.

We've been camping at Capitol KOA for years and long ago we use to stay in a tent. One weekend it was raining real hard when we arrived and didn't want to set-up in the rain, so we rented a one room cabin. We have been using the camping cabins for over ten years until this year when we made another move. We rented the Deluxe Cabin with Full Bath & Shower. Great Move! Thanks KOA! Great Staff!
