The pet friendly St. Petersburg Resort KOA offers a broad range of Fun 'n the Sun camping options, including spacious RV and Tent sites, as well as Camping Lodges and Camping Cabin. Call the campground for a new pet friendly lodge! accommodations.

Campground amenities include a fishing dock, a hot tub, a crystal clear outdoor pool and large, oak-shaded sites.

If you are looking for fishing, golf, kayaking, or bicycling on the popular 47-mile Pinellas County Fitness Trail located at the entry to the campground or just plain old relaxing, you have come to the right place.

Rent a canoe and paddle the peaceful Long Bayou inland waterway, alive with herons, egrets, dolphins and other wildlife.

Play any of our eight shuffleboard courts, try out your bocce ball toss or enjoy a game of mini golf or volleyball.

Busch Gardens, the Dali Museum and the Ringling Circus Museum are located just a few short miles from the campground.

If sports are your interest, we are ideally located near the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Raymond James Stadium, the Tampa Bay Lightning, St. Petersburg Times Forum, and the Devil Rays home, Tropicana Field. Tampa/St. Petersburg also plays host to the annual Outback Bowl in January. The Tampa/St. Petersburg area is also home to Major League Baseball Spring Training. The Phillies, Yankees, Pirates, Reds, and Blue Jays all gather here each spring.

Lori Hight, manager of the St Petersburg/Madeira Beach KOA, has the perfect outlook to make your stay memorable. She says, “I love helping people!”

Lori has been involved in all phases of the camping experience. In her 15 years at Camping World, she helped campers with everything from sleeping bags and checkers games to awnings and hot water heaters.

Now at the St Petersburg/Madeira Beach KOA, she is able to take that experience a step farther and be involved with her campers right at ground level. “Being one-on-one with my campers and making great memories together is my number one goal.”

Lori and her husband have 3 children, and guess what they do for fun? They are right back in the great outdoors! They all love camping, fishing, kayaking and going to the beach.

“I am really excited to meet all of the wonderful people at St Petersburg/Madeira Beach KOA! Come visit me, and let’s have a G-R-E-A-T time!”
