Lovely campground. Sites were a bit crowded which we're not used to, but we appreciated the beautiful space.

Just good

We originally booked this park for its closeness to the Agawa train. This was our 1st KOA. We had been traveling for 3 weeks prior using provincial parks. We felt we were living in the lap of luxury. We had our 3 days booked solid in the Sault; wished we had more time to enjoy your wonderful park and hope to be able to return some day. Thank you

It was my family’s first time to camp, and we wanted it to be a memorable experience that is why we booked at KOA because of their amenities and activities. However, at around 11pm,the owner came to us and told us that we are very noisy and to stop whatever we are doing or else he will ask us to leave.I just feel that it was so unprofessional and very rude.We felt discriminated because of our race

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Quiet hours begin at 10 pm. One cabin, four tent sites together plus numerous unregistered visitors & cars. We received noise complaints from other guests and it was necessary to speak to these guests about it. They were rude and uncooperative.

Our site was conveniently located within sight of the bathroom. It was also the cut-thru path (on both sides) for many campers beyond us.

Excellent

This KOA is amazing! The staff and service is exceptional. We stopped here on our way home from Thunder Bay. We got the last site available which was a patio site. We will definitely come back again.

Other than getting chastised by Aunt Joanie within 5 minutes of arriving for not securing our dog to the right spot while leaving him outside as required while getting token's for the laundry, it was good. They have signs and rules for EVERYTHING else except where to secure your dog while using the office, laundry or bathrooms.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Guests are asked NOT to tie their dogs to our cigarette disposals, which are tall, metal objects and can tip over, scaring or injuring the dog. There is a dog tie-out in several locations around the building, which are self explanatory.

The campground itself was fine, although pretty packed. We understand that it was a holiday weekend. The issue was with our check-in. Having limited phone service in Canada we reserved two sites (separate names and KOA numbers) with one call. Upon arrival we learned the staff would not put the second site on a different charge card. Truly a small annoyance, but not handled in a very courteous

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Guests were advised that everything was paid for and cannot be changed at check-in. Guests were quite rude at check-in with staff.

Beautiful stay - staff are super helpful and close to everything. KOA amenities are superb!

Return visit great place to stop. Was charged more for visitors to visit after 6pm but no big deal will know for next time. Barking dogs in the cabins next to us was not pleasant as they did not stop but I did not say anything to complain.

This campground is absolutely one of the best! So many things to do. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Great job everyone!

Good location, but VERY DUSTY! Also, sewer connection was near the front of the site, instead of closer to rear where it could be used without so much hose and closer to the other utilities.

Beautiful KOA. My only complaint is that we weren't told about your combination locked bathrooms / showers when checking in and only discovered AFTER the office was closed. We searched the brochure about that but didn't see that mentioned anywhere or the combination. Please add this to your brochure or be sure to inform guests when they check in.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our restroom code is on the front of the guest guide that each guest receives, directly beside their name and site number.

We stayed at the S. S. Marie KOA for 2 nights. We greatly appreciated the fenced-in dog-run areas! The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The recreation facilities at the campsite were very good as well. The location of the campsite was very convenient as well as we had events to attend downtown while we were visiting.

Right from our arrival at the park the staff and the owners are very friendly and welcoming! Our stay was great! The park is quiet and cozy. The pool is nice! The mini-putt is a blast!! The kids loved the carts, burning off the excess energy! Thank you!! We enjoyed our stay immensely and will surely return.

Stay was great but it was very disappointing that our friends couldn’t join us. Tried to book a camping cabin for 1 night, and while I understand that there is a min. 3 night stay, the cabins were empty all weekend. having a hard time understanding why, since they were not booked, that they could not be accommodated. Did this at Barrie KOA for 1 night with no issue. Lady was very rude on phone.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There is a three night minimum for a cabin on the long weekend. Cabins were booked during this period.

This was by far the best campground I have stayed at. The area was immaculate. Lots of fun activities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay. Their facilities like Washroom and laundry room where very clean. The camp grounds were quiet and clean. Our cable did not work.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We're sorry to hear that you had an issue with the cable. Had we known when you were here, we could have assisted. Guests must switch from "air" to "cable" in their unit in order for the cable to work (instructions are printed in the guest guide).

This is our 2nd time @ Sault Ste Marie KOA.Took a family trip frm Manitoba to New Brunswick. On the way East, we stayed here the 1st time & loved it. So much that on the way back West, we stayed for 2 nights so the kids could swim, play GAGA ball & mini golf. Some reviews complain about rules, but honestly, the staff cares about and looks after the facilities. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Nice decent sized campsites but the showers are fabulous. Lots of pressure and hot water. The washroom and shower area were spotless. This is the best we have seen at KOA campgrounds in the USA and in Canada including Provincial Campgrounds. The other nicety is this campground is far away from the highway and very quiet, not like a Provincial Campground about an hour away.

Terrific RV and tent campground. Owners and staff are very friendly and professional. The campground is well maintained and has lots to offer for adults and children. The washrooms and showers are clean and are closed for an hour daily to allow for major cleaning by the staff. They accommodated our ´big rig' (with advanced booking) and (as always) were most helpful during our latest stay. We make this an annual stop. This year we went specifically to enjoy the colours of the fall and were rewarded with spectacular displays. We stayed for 10 nights. The campground parameters and schedules are well laid out and following them makes for a most enjoyable stay. This park is dog friendly and we appreciate the folks that follow the pet guidelines. We highly recommend this campground - it's in a terrific location close to town amenities (10 minute drive). There is some faint highway noise and a few trains - far less than most of the campgrounds that we have stayed in - certainly didn't disturb our sleeping.
