This place dosen't have many amenities but it is easy to get to off of I-25 and the restrooms are clean. It's quiet and very inexpensive compared to other KOAs.

Excellent staff and good location. Not much road noise.

The owners were very nice and accommodating in our situation. We had engine problems and were not given definite repair dates of completion so we had to continue to extend our stay until we got another truck. Thank you for your patience.

Doesn't warrant name Journey, however it was fine for a one night stay.

Trash cans overflowing, doggie poop can over flowing and bathrooms needed attention. Tge WiFi was great! I have photos if you wanna see them. I did send the photos to the owners of this KOA.

Location in town is excellent, the host was pleasant and check in was a breeze. The park itself left much to be desired. Trash was overflowing in every trash can in the campground and the dog park was disgusting.

Clean park, friendly helpful staff. Always stay in spring and fall coming and going to AZ. Thanks for being a nice place to stop.

It was a nice and clean place to stay. Very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. They parked us in the back corner which gave us a lot of privacy. Thank you!

We were greater with open arms. This is the 2nd time staying and will stay again. If there is any down side is that the bath room could use an upgrade. What is there is very neat and clean.

It was great except for one small problem. Our site had weeds next to it that had cockleburs in them and the little devils were tracked into our rig. Love the breakfasts served in the office. Great way to meet fellow travelers.

We were only there for 1 night, but it was what I have come to expect from KOA. Clean, quiet, friendly staff. I will have no problem stopping by here again.

It was a good stay. Loved that I could pick a spot and be close to the dog park.

On site manager was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. It was very refreshing to encounter an individual who actually cared about incoming tenants. It was my first ever KOA visit and I had been chatted up about KOA's, but this one left me feeling underwhelmed. Felt way more like a motel 6 for RV's than a campground, but it wasn't expressly disappointing. At least it was nice and clean.

Greg was very accommodating!

Arrived after dark, and left the next morning, so didn’t really look around. Very nice long, level sites and bathrooms had plenty of stalls/showers. The clerk was very friendly.

Enjoyed our one night stopover. Groceries and gas nearby

An older KOA that has been well maintained. Site and facilities were great. WiFi was one of the best I have ever used. Did not have to unhook my tow. Will definitely stay here again.

Easy in and out. Quiet and handy to have showers and laundry. Very reasonably priced. Easy access off I25.

While the campground itself was very nice, (clean grounds and facilities), and the gentleman at the front desk for check-in was quite pleasant (welcomed us back!), the road traffic outside of the camp was extremely noisy with motorcycles and loud cars running up and down the streets most of the night. I know this isn't the campgrounds fault and shouldn't take away from a stay there, but beware.

Manager was very good. Very pleasant visit.

We were booked to stay here for one night but got up the next morning with mechanical problems with our truck. We talked to the office and they not only told us we could stay but then arranged it so we wouldn’t have to move to a different spot. We ended up staying two more nights until we got our truck fixed. Great small town atmosphere.

We have always had a good experience at the Raton KOA. The staff is cheerful, helpful, and professional. A smile and kind words are very welcoming after a long day on the road. We will be back again!

Nice stoppover spot. Easy in and out. Not far off the interstate. Plenty of eateries and things to do. Grant was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Perfect! Easy check-in process, easy pull thru site and easy to maneuver through the campground. Just what we needed for an overnight on the way to and from Albuquerque.

The site was fair. It would have been easier to get into if the guys next door would have been more in their own space! But the pickup was sticking out way out of their site. The convenience of having a KOA between Santa Fe and Colorado Springs was a big factor in choosing this place. The camp itself is is in a really unexciting location. Love the SWest, but dang! Not inspiring!

We stayed for a week. They fill up most nights and empty out the next morning. Definitely need reservations. Not one of the most kid friendly KOAs but they have a playground. Very good for an overnight stay

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
