Very nice campground. Person in the office was very friendly and helpful. Answered all our questions and made us feel at home. Explained everything about the campground with a sense of pride. (Loved it) would recommend to anyone traveling through Raton.

Pleasant staff, flat sites, nice location. Appears to be a nice place with grassy areas. The water tap was frozen, I think that the heat tape wasn’t turned on. The garbage can by the bathrooms was overflowing and trash on the ground. Bathrooms are very dated But relatively clean.

Good two night stop to avoid driving in a snow storm. We very much appreciate that this KOA is open all year to serve travelers.

Clean and spacious. Level spaces and great amenities. Thanks for the great overnight stay!

Nice site but the restrooms and showers could use an update, very old.

Thank you Grant for the great stay!

Great place for an overnight stay. The sites and roads were a bit muddy and all could use a new layer of crushed rock or course gravel.

Clean, quiet and friendly as always.

The bathrooms in this place were very poorly maintained. No toilet paper in one of the stalls and the trash cans were overflowing. Only one shower in the women's bathroom had hot water and all stalls had hairy drains and poor shower heads. This was disappointing for the amount we spent to stay there that night and we won't be back to this KOA.

Friendly check-in. Inner roads weren't adequately cleaned of snow, making it difficult to maneuver.

This is a very simple KOA but it is nice when we are passing through Raton. Easy access from I-25 (if you don't follow Google Maps directions).

Need more staff to handle propane. Long wait to check in.

It worked out perfectly for us. Its location was a safe haven for us during our winter time travel. Gentleman that we worked with, I’m guessing the property owner, was very helpful in accommodating us. Look forward to staying there again when in the area.

Made reservations over the phone and was very easy. Check in was fast and they were very helpful. Location was easy to get to from I-25. Facilities were clean but needed a little updating. Easy pull thru sites. Propane available on site. Sites were clean.

We were just passing through and needed a place to stay for 2 nights and this place hit the bill perfectly. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The town is very nice and though not many major chains you will be able to get what you need (food, fuel or misc.) Park is clean and orderly and the laundry room is very useful and is very affordable. Will be back when in the area.

A VERY, very quiet, but older KOA whose owner is trying to upgrade the bathroom’s especially. Has great WiFi and clear cable TV. Have stayed there often and will again.

Clean and quiet. Easy on and off I25. The owner is personable and available. Easy walk to grocery stores and restaurants. Sites are flat and solid. Long pull thrus for my 40 ft class A. It will be our "go to" when on that route.

An older KOA with ancient, but clean rest rooms whom the owner is trying to upgrade. Quiet, clean sites with great WiFi and cable TV. Will return soon.

We always stay at KOA Raton. Fast easy checkin. Lots of dinner selection’s available nearby. We had a problem upon arrival with our Class C Motorhome. We went to the office and with in 5 minutes Grant came over and resolved the issue. THANK YOU GRANT! And many thanks to KOA Raton.

Nice campgrounds!

We stayed one night. The campground was easy to get to off the interstate. It was quiet, our site was level, and the bathrooms were clean.

This KOA is further from the highway than most, so it was very quiet compared with other KOA's where we have stayed. The proprietor was very helpful and friendly. Love that they have RV propane fill service at this facility.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
