Excellent customer service, clean and wide open spaces. Don’t care for the chain link fence which exposes you to the surrounding neighbor and noise from cars early in the morning. Please and easy stay for a quick overnight and great price for electric and water.

Please replace the old curtains in your cabins with some thermal ones to help keep the heat out in the summer and keep the heat in during the winter…. Great place to stay…we’ll be back!

Park was looking in good shape. Easy in and out for our break in trip. Quiet no issues with hook ups.

We stayed in a camping cabin. Pros: Very clean, easy check in, very close to restrooms, clean restrooms and showers, good playground for the kids, A/C! Cons: Super close to the main road (but the noise didn't bother us really)

We had truck problems and needed a place to stay. We got a spot for as long as we needed. Bathrooms are clean. Laundry costs are very reasonable. Clean park overall. Beautiful surrounding area to explore.

Very nice place. The cabin was immaculate with nice clean sheets, perfect way to end a long day. There was even cable tv and an air conditioner. The bathrooms were close and spotless! The people who run the Raton KOA are simply awesome, and were very helpful and great communicators. I can't recommend this Raton KOA highly enough!

It was just a quick overnight stay between Santa Fe and Denver. The staff was very nice and helpful. The site was large enough for our 35 ft fifth wheel and truck. The bathrooms were clean. Would stay here again.

We were happy with our stay! Wendell & Marilyn were great people to deal with. The park is older but they do a good job keeping it up! We would definitly stay there again.

The manager was awesome. We arrived late but everything was marked perfectly on the map. While speaking with him over the phone, He also gave us a different way to come that helped tremendously. The camp was clean, easy to to drive thru. Great place. We will be back. Thank you

Very nice for “stay on the way”. All clean, playground for kids, dog friendly, and courteous/professional staff. Located very close to grocery and other shopping requirements.

Overnight stay on the way to Colorado and again on the way back home.

the campground was clean, quiet and probably the most level campsites of most of the campgrounds we have stayed at.

My wife and I pass through Raton several times a year and every time we do we stay at the Raton KOA. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is quiet and well maintained, and it is close to the interstate for an easy off easy on overnight rest.

Quiet, comfortable RV park. Being a Journey KOA most people stay overnight as a waypoint to other places. I like staying a week or longer at Journey KOAs because everyone scrambles to leave each morning while I drink coffee and watch the mayhem. Then I have the park to myself until later in the afternoon when the next wave of weary RVers roll in and set up camp. Quite entertaining.

We had a nice level spot and there was plenty of space between camp sites. We were a bit surprised to find that the office closed at 7 pm in the middle of the summer, but otherwise it was a very positive experience.

Nice park & amenities

Flat tire on our tow car. Recommend a local tire repair. They were quick and got us on the road. This happened on a Sunday, the campground accommodated us staying an extra night without moving sites.

Very nice campground

Friendly staff and clean facilities. Don't miss the KT boundary but get a permit from the City first. It's a rock layer where the meteor hit that killed the big dinosaurs 65 million years ago.

Nice place. Great Staff. We booked late and they still managed to fit us in. Nice dog park. Trees. Close to dining, supplies, and fuel. Greeted promptly and escorted. Full hook ups. Great internet. Autozone across the street is a plus too. Heads up if you’re coming from Tucumcari KOA… there’s a tight severely steep mountain pass so chose your route wisely and fill up first for sure.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
