Great staff and the food was outstanding. Location was convenient to everything yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Very friendly and willing to assist anyway they could. The kitchen staff, husband and wife, were temporary but really did a great job. Highly recommend this place. We traveled in a class a motor home with toad.

The staff was so accommodating and so friendly. The campground was very clean and very quiet. We will be coming back to stay again.

This was a great location to what we wanted to go see and super quiet. The staff were amazing and it seems like they all like each other and had little drama. The cafe was a great convenience and the ones running it seemed to care about the product they put out. Lucy and Parrish were the ones who checked us in and were like a concierge service outlining on the map what the best way to see it.

We really liked the atmosphere at this campground. The kids loved the pool and the jumping pillow. The staff was super friendly, extremely helpful and we felt very welcome. Highly recommend this KOA!!!!

Didn’t really use any of the entertainment available, too much to see and do around there. As usual at a KOA the staff was very friendly and helpful and the grounds were clean and well maintained. We were self contained and didn’t use the bathrooms or showers but I’m sure they were clean.

Staff was incredible, the facilities were clean, felt comfortable with kids going to playground. Great location. Fewer activities than some, but it was nice and relaxing after our busy days.

A two day stay.. easy in.. very friendly Centrally located for all the Black Hills sights we saw. Next time we will come back with the grandkids. They will love the amenities!

All staff members at this KOA were extremely friendly and helpful, very professional. John treated us like special guests and provided excellent information about the campground and area attractions. The bathroom and shower facilities were always very clean. The campground was very well maintained. Breakfast and dinner meals were available on site. Great location!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Custer KOA. The campsite is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We love that there is a pool, park and jumping bean for kids. My son had an absolute blast. We will definitely be returning!

We have stayed at the Custer/Mt Rushmore/Black Hills KOA for 11 years. Love the campground and the paved patio space. Lucy checked us in and was very friendly! Looking forward to our stay next year!

Fantastic staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip; they had good clean facilities - everything we needed! Kids have already requested to stay here again next time we are in the area.

Site was too short for a 28 ft 5er. Impossible to get level as well. Got yelled at for not waiting for an escort when we have never been escorted anywhere else and check in did not advise us to the requirement. Not a pleasant place.

Every camp member is what makes this KOA absolutely fantastic, one of the best! So nice, so helpful, so friendly and always willing to lend a hand to solve any problem a camper might have. Just the best!! Owners need to be very proud of the team that is in place now!

No handrails for steps to bathroom. Difficult to walk on steeper terrain with loose gravel. What?

Our first time at a KOA. We had a great time. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well stocked. The campsite was the perfect size and level. Best of all was the camp staff- they were very friendly and exceptionally helpful for us newbies.

Great location, beautiful space with tall Pine trees for some shade and stars at night were awesome. Staff goes out of their way to help you settle in and provide recommendations for must see spots. I rarely fill out these surveys but this spot was best on my 30 day RV trip.

We spent 3 weeks camping on our "Great American Family Adventure:" We traveled through most of the western / Northwestern states. You were one of the campgrounds, our whole family was impressed with. We definitely would recommend and visit again if out in the area. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked, lots were good sized, and staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay while you are touring the many sites Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Bear Country USA to name a few. Everyone working at the KOA took the time to make sure we were settled into our campsite. Washrooms were great, camping site was the perfect size for our unit and other campers respected your camping space. I would definitely stay at this KOA again.

Very unlevel lot, did not like it. Expected a great lot since I made reservations in January. Too much gravel on the roads. Food at the Buffalo cafe very good but too expensive. All the staff very, very friendly.

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

I can not say enough amazing things about this KOA the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us and make our stay an amazing one I would go back in a heart beat and highly recommend

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
