Problem with their water system lead to highly chlorinated water. Every time we used the sink or shower it smelled like a swimming pool in the RV, even with using our water filter. Also a general lack of KOA staff presence within the park. Most sites were empty yet most RVs were very far from the pool and amenities. The grill at the buddy site was great and convenient and we enjoyed the game room.

I paid for a late check out and had 2 phone calls to make sure I was checking out at 2pm. They said someone was waiting on my spot, which did not make sense because the park was 90% empty.

After asking, we are very appreciative after finding out how hot it was when we arrived to be moved to a tent spot with a little more shade. It made our stay a little more pleasant with two kids who were on their first tent camping road trip. The kids thoroughly enjoyed all the activities available especially when it started to rain! The giant chess board was probably their favorite.

Came in after a long travel day. Office closed however keys were ready for pick up. Stayed in camping cabin. Cabin didn’t seem as clean as other KOA’s we have stayed in. Many bugs which could have been due to climate and heat. Only stayed one night so it met our needs.

We needed after-hours assistance with the AC unit on our RV. The gentleman on staff that night went out of his way to bring us a ladder, so that we could address the issue. He was very friendly and easy going. Additionally, we arrived after hours for check-in. The process was explained ahead of time clearly, making the check-in smooth and error-proof. Thank you!

Water off almost every day. Grounds are falling apart. Some of the workers are not friendly.

Distance from Carlsbad Caverns was not far nor was going into Carlsbad for RVing needs. VERY sad that the pool was not available in the 111 degree heat. Although we didn't use the Cafe it was nice to know it was available in case I did not want to cook during the hot weather.

We have stayed here before, and this time was a let down compared to previous stays. There were many broken or malfunctioning fixtures in the facilities, empty toilet paper rolls that went unfilled our whole stay, and the kids were very disappointed in the pool being closed the whole time. The pedal cart rental was about 3 times more expensive than at another KOA. The rec room was very good and

We chose this park on route because of the pool, but was not told it was closed until we arrived. Very disappointing to kids. Closed and non-functional amenities seems to be a trend with some shady KOAs, but their rates don't change. And the water shut off. Highly not reccomending this KOA.

The campground was clean, however we booked here because it claims there is a swimming pool. However after arriving we were notified the pool has been closed for some time and they have no idea when it will be opened. It would be appreciated if a major amenity in the summer time is out of service that guest were notified.

The park is a distance from town, caverns etc.. We visited Carlsbad KOA last year and stopped again this year and the swimming pool always seems to be closed in the month of June when it’s very hot out and a dip in the pool would be nice. The RV park is out in the open with very few trees. Some spots do have small trees but we were not fortunate to get one of those spots. Staff was nice!

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Overall campground was good. Campsites are spacious, bathrooms could use a little TLC, plenty of amenities. Having 2 large pet areas was great. Just wished that while we were using the entertainment room one day that staff would have obstained from smoking in one of the back rooms. We ended up leaving the area due to heavy cigarette smell.

Large flat sites. Nice employees and laundry. Good location if you're going to Carlsbad Caverns NP. Was disappointed that the pool wasn't open.

Lot of goathead stickers water went out the young man was trying to get it going he had no instructions on what to do so I went and got it going told the people to get a pump company to check out the control panel the lady in the office said it the well worked all night so they were happy

Handrail was too low for my handicapped wife. Pool was closed and there were so many flies. Cabin was nice and the employees were great.

Good facilities but didn’t like the stadium sink in the bathroom. Not enough water and often wouldn’t even run. Showers were great and the park is quiet and clean

We really enjoyed our stay.. cabin was roomy and clean. We had two xl kennels for our dogs and they fit perfectly and still had plenty of space in living and kitchen area.

The pool was closed. The room inside with TVs was very hot. They advertise that they have a store with supplies, but they didn’t have laundry detergent. The BBQ that we paid $20 a plate for was VERY over cooked and the ribs were not cut up.

The reson were selected KOA was the pool! We arrived, paid our remaining balance! THEN was told POOL was closed! I told the staff member... why did you tell me B 4 i paid? She daid Sorry! The showers/rest rooms were nice and clean.

Good location with great potential, but unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay and we had no water for a day. The employees did not seem to have much empathy, and didn’t even offer the guest a glass of water as a small gesture of kindness.

Got off to bad start. No water. Reported electrical problem at site with tripped circuit breaker that I could move. One day elapsed before a maintenance worker was sent to site that knew what he was doing.

Was checked in about 5pm and after setting up at our site we realized the water did not work. We called the office and was informed the water was not working throughout the campground and they had gallon jugs in the office. Water still not working the next morning. Pool, laundry, bathrooms all locked. No refund offered for paid night. Worst KOA site we have ever stayed at, shame on the Owners.

The staff were super friendly. It’s very clean. Water was turned off for quite sometime. They notified us when it was going to be shut off. It came back on and then was off overnight until the next day. We decided to leave a day early with no water, no bathroom or shower facility. Very disappointed the nice pool was shut down awaiting an inspection. It was very warm and windy..we needed to swim

No running water, not told about it upon check in, never fixed. When asked what solutions they had for campers they offered gallon water for a fee. 20 minutes to nearest facilities. We checked out early. We didn't realize this is not near the caverns (1 hour away), our own fault, but something to consider (not part of the 1 star rating).

Great RV spots. Very spacious! Well kept, very clean. About 45 mins from Carlsbad Caverns. They do make pizzas on site, but the nearest restaurant or store is about 30mins. Still really great KOA

Showers were wonderful, staff was friendly. Liked the activity room and games. Price was reasonable. If anything was not right, I would say that shower curtains need cleaned routinely, they had mildew on the bottom
