Tent Reviews

Great! We stayed in the tent village- would highly recommend this spot. It was close to the showers/bathrooms which was a must with our two little boys. We enjoyed the pool and mini golfing. We ended up only staying one night since severe weather was approaching. If we do the badlands again, we would defiantly stay here agin. Also, loved the small town of Interior! Locals were very friendly!

Clean big sites and quiet. pool was small but clean.

Lots of mosquitoes! Check in was nice. Bathrooms ok

Campsite had a multitude of ant nests on it.

Great locale to strike out on the Badlands National Park loop drive. Didn't mind primitive tent campers using unused improved tent sites to do their dishes, but late at night, c'mon, making no attempt to keep the clanging dishes and pans down, not to mention wailing kids. Plus three hours to clean only nearby restrooms. Tent campers may want to skip this KOA and chance nearby privately owned camp

Came in late at night and found our registration and directions to our site waiting for us all set and ready to go. Very much enjoyed our one night stay.

This was a nice campground close to the Badlands National Park. A bit more could be done regarding cleanliness and upkeep (a definite sewer odor near the rest rooms and Kamping kitchens with no stoves) but clearly improvements are underway in the construction of a new pavilion.

Friendly staff. Large tent sites. Nice place to stay.

Showers and toilets were very clean. Nice pool, play areas and camp store. Only negative--and this is a big one-- our tent was destroyed during a severe storm during our visit. While someone from the KOA came to check on us they did not offer us one of the many Kamping Kabins that sat empty. It was after midnight and we had to pack up what we could and move on.

Very family friendly, lots of kids activities and clean public areas. Quality wifi. Will stay again!!

Great for hammocking, a bit buggy as you are on a river but if you're prepared it's great!

Roomy tent sites at a great location on the edge of the Badlands! I've stayed here twice and will be back again!

The people were the best part. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. As far as the actual camping went, the pools were ice cold and had bugs, the mosquitoes were plentiful, the site was very small and uninviting....very weedy, and the firepits are miniscule. If this were a cheaper more primitive campground these things would be alright.Oh and the playground was being ripped apart.

Their great folks and extremely polite.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground was very clean and well taken care of. I look forward to staying at this site in the future.

It was clean, friendly and the nicest campground I have ever stayed in.

We drove about 8 miles through the badlands to get to the koa, and finished the loop in the morning. This campground is in the perfect location for a trip to the badlands area. The staff was awesome and the deluxe tent site was perfect. Breakfast at the cookhouse was a very good end to our stay. I will be bringing my family here next year.

Pancake breakfast was overpriced, but everything else was great!!

Come morning, it began to rain. It made it VERY difficult to break down my tent and mount my bags properly to my moped so I wouldn't die while on the road. This took a few hours longer than the check out time. While I was doing this, I was constantly harassed by a feminist nazi authoritarian who believes being a good manager involves repeating the camp ground rules with a smug, heartless attitude.

This is the sixth year our group has stayed at the Badlands/White River KOA. The new hosts are wonderful. Upon arrival they greeted us with smiles and were very pleasant to chat with throughout our stay. The camp is always very well maintained and clean. Our plan is to continue to stay here on future trips.

This was our second time at this KOA and we love it! The campground is always clean (including the bathrooms too!) and the staff is friendly. This time we stayed at a deluxe tent site instead of the regular tent sites and it worked perfectly! Having the covered picnic table area was great when it decided to rain for two day!

We had a wonderful stay at the Badlands/White River KOA. The sites were clean and conveniently located and the staff was friendly and professional. I have already recommended this campground to several of my friends.

great place and location! Thumbs up!

The only negative thing I have to say is about the camping "pads" that they have tent campers use. The pebbles make it hard to secure the stakes for the tent, and therefore the tent is not as secure in inclement weather. My tent came down twice in a thunderstorm because of this. It has withstood stronger storms and the only difference was the rock pads. Otherwise, everything was great!

Pretty good experience at this campground- helpful, efficient staff, level grassy sites, but can get quite windy!
