Our four nights tent camping were quiet and peaceful. While the RV portion of the campgrounds was full, there were few tent campers and no RV traffic in the tent area. Perfect! The tent sites are roomy, clean and shady. Great alternative to the park camping areas.

This is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed out. Facilities, staff and location were all excellent. Best rest rooms and showers east and west of the Mississippi. Thank-you for all of the efforts.

This space is clean and beautifully kept. The bathrooms are clean. I loved the little camp spot under the trees by the White River. The coyotes sang me to sleep and the wind fluttering the cottonwood leaves sounded like raindrops. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer. Pilamayaye. Thank you for your hard work and kindness in maintaining this space for us wanderers.

This KOA is very beautiful and located near the white river and badlands. The owners clearly care for the campground and were extremely welcoming during our arrival. They campground was well cared for!

Jane in the office was just outstanding! Super accommodating and a wonderful source of information! The campground was clean, well-kept, and fairly quiet. Restrooms were clean. Water got hot for showers. And you’re only about 5 miles from the entrance to the badlands national park.

Everything was just wonderful, from the amenities (thanks to the cookhouse for dinner when the weather wasn't conducive to cooking outside), the pool and most of all, the staff. They were SO nice and professional! We'll be back.

We had a tent site with no neighbors. Late at night (11PM) neighbors set up. They were LOUD, had headlights on (which shone into our tents), and once set up they started drinking and had music going (until 4AM). No KOA person made rounds to check on things. They did it again the next night. We decided to check out early and I let the front desk know. I got a "Sorry about that" from front desk

I am so sorry this happened. This is why, on the map you received, there is an afterhours phone number. It rings to the owners house, who would have come out to help you. If you ever have this issue anywhere, look on your map, there will be an afterhours number, especially if you are at a KOA.

Everything was wonderful at his KOA with one exception. The time I checked in and left 2 days later, the heat was extremely hot. I was tent camping and during my first day, I had to ask to transfer my stay into a cabin with a/c. They helped me out with the one and only cabin they had left. They charged me for the transfer and gave me a credit for my other one. They were fantastic and understanding

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful, our site was quiet and clean. The pool was well kept and the bathrooms/laundry room were tidy. We would most definitely stay again if we are out this way again!

Every thing was very nice .Very clean, we enjoyed our stay .. just remember to bring mosquito repellent. The mosquitos were so Bad..

Kid friendly but buggy. The mosquito fogger helped for one day. The last night we had small little bugs (not ants)crawl into our tent, small enough to crawl in between the seams. Our 20amp electric site kept tripping when we tried to charge our electric car.

Great location and lots of things to do. Super clean bathrooms. However the pool was super dirty, lots of hair and bandaids. Also the mosquitos and flies will get you and they will be ruthless. No amount of spray or citronella will be able to stop them.

We apologize that you encountered an untidy pool area, we have addressed the issue. The mosquitoes are more difficult to control, however we do fog and spray on a daily basis.

Large campsites, clean facilities and friendly staff! Only negative was the mosquitos which can’t be controlled.

Great location and staff, the only downsides were the excessive heat and mosquitoes but hey it’s August. The fellow who guided us to our site was great. He came back much later in the day to warn us of potential bad weather. He was very thoughtful and i have to give him top marks for thoughtfulness and great customer service.

Nice location and campsite . Pool was a welcome break from the heat . Lots of room and nice air conditioning in the washrooms . Too bad some parents were not watching their kids . Jumping and diving into pool with families around and inappropriate language . This does not reflect on my ratings of the location . Thanks might see you again

Owners were SO friendly and helpful!! Bath/shower room is the cleanest and safest feeling campground we’ve ever stayed at. They even had an escort to our site that carried our firewood. Will definitely recommend and return!!

We only stayed one night, but loved the location. The tent spaces were very generous. It should be noted that you DO NEED to pay or have a park pass in order to get to the campground.

There have been thousands of mosquitoes and we were hardly able to stay outside the tent. After one night we had to break up the camp.

I believe you will find the mosquitoes to be horrible all over South Dakota, this year. We appreciate your visit with us and hope you will return when we have not come off of a 5 year drought which has brought the mosquitoes out in full force.

We appreciate you comments on the flies, we have been fogging and spraying for flies and mosquitoes. We are loosing the battle with them because of all the rain in the area this spring and summer, as I am sure you noticed the standing water along the road before you even get to the KOA.

Although the campground itself was nice, with plenty of space to spread out, the mosquitos were the worst I have ever encountered in my camping experience. The information sheet indicates the campground sprays, but if this is accurate, I would hate to see what it was like without this. in 2 nights, my son received almost 40 bites, and I more than a dozen, despite spraying ourselves profusely.

We are trying out best with the fogging to get ahead of the mosquitoes, but with all of the rain this summer and spring, we are fighting a loosing battle.

I enjoyed the convenient location. I did not like that there are so many mosquitoes though! They sprayed the day I was leaving, wish this was more regular. The bathroom set-up isn't the best as the shower/toilet is all one room and only allows one person at a time. I also miss the free pancakes they offered before which is part of why I went back. Can't even eat without flies attacking you.

We love the Badlands KOA! Everyone is so helpful, whether it's delivering wood or ice (glad to hear you're getting a new wood supplier) or helping to jumpstart my car! And the cook shack is great!

Stayed in the tent area. Nice trees, used the pool to cool off. Host very nice and came back to give me $1 change from my firewood purchase. Quiet, except when some late arrivers came around 11 pm and decided the whole campground needed to hear their family argument. Wish the host could of done a midnight run through the grounds to enforce quiet hours.

I understand your frustration with late arrivals, we remind everyone that is a late arrival, to be respectful of fellow campers. We will look into doing a late night ride through the campground.

The staff were SO NICE!! And it was nice to have food to purchase. I was just a little bummed about the state of the shower building and my tent site. There was almost no place without ants, and the showers were not kept up well. But with the activities and other amenities, it helped make up for it.

We stayed for a week and it was great! It would have been a 5 star but the mosquitoes were atrocious. The campground was fogged for insects 3 times during our stay to what seemed very little effect. Also the wood purchased from the store was so wet I couldn't get it lit for over 2 days. Despite all this we still had a great time!

Great place. Clean, attentive, nice size tent shaded sites. Close to the park entrance. Would suggest checking out a grocery for food and camp needs before settlng in. Insects were a problem but Kudos for trying to keep the insects at a minimum. Highly recommend.

Nice campground! Very friendly staff. Some trees which is rare in the badlands. Less than 5 min from Nat. Park. Stayed in a tent and the only negative was need more bathrooms (bathrooms very nice though) the tent area was only half full and there was often a wait for the bathrooms. Must be an issue because there were port o potties next to the bathroom. Also firewood very wet un-burnable.

Great place, very close to Badlands NP. People were great and really helped us save our vacation when plans fell through. Facilities were immaculate, especially laundry, restrooms and showers. Very enjoyable experience!

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!
