Quick 3 night stay. It was a convenient campground downtown but wasn't on a loud main road, so provided a sense of seclusion. The sites were spacious so you didn't feel on top of your neighbor. The complementary sleds and wax for White Sands was a wonderful perk.

Very nice KOA, clean bathrooms and hot showers, privacy block walls between camp sites. The camp hosts were helpful and kind. Small store with some food items and RV supplies, plus propane and firewood for sale.

Nice campground but sites are a little to close for my liking. The partial walls around the tables are nice & the thick concrete is walkway are nice. Too much gravel

Super friendly hosts, clean location, spacious patio at our site, easy to navigate. Laundry was easy, clean, affordable. Really nice to be able to check out sleds to use at the NP - one of the top reasons we chose this campground.

The staff was super nice here and the sites were clean and well maintained. They even let you borrow sleds for White Sands NP. The dog park was clean and just the right size. I would definitely stay here again.

In terms of recommending KOA White Sands/Alamogordo to others, I already do and have been since my first visit in December 2019. It's a remarkable place with remarkable people and I truly think of this as home. They have catered to my comfort level since I first arrived and like every other time I have ever stayed here. The owners take our happiness to a whole different level. I love staying here!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Mark made feel at home while were about 2k miles away. He pointed some of the best places to see and eat, Most places were off the beaten path and we would not have found these places without his help' He would check on us to make sure all connections were in working order.

A great stay to stop and see White Sands National Park. Nice dog park for our pets to have a play after a day on the road. Very helpful staff and a well kept property.

Nice KOA. Great staff. Stilted are good. Only thing is the trains roaring through the place at night. Take good ear plugs.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for staying with us. We do have the neighborhood train and some of them really like to use that horn.

We stayed 2 nights. Quite comfortable, clean, and listened to a great set of music by local musicians. Missed popcorn night but heard it was great.

We didn’t have a sewer hook up, which is not a big deal. Our spot was spacious and well kept. Will definitely be back!

The friendliest people ever…. the pop corn Saturday evening is a nice touch too. We had camp site E6… the table, grill, fire ring and site was clean and Kelly helped us to park. The train is loud early morning but that did not bother us much. Alamogordo surprised us too…. so neat and everybody so friendly. Been to White Sands missile testing museum and Monume Will stay with you

Nice staff. Clean store, restrooms and laundry room. Sites a little too close for me. Nice cement picnic table and benches.

Everything was fine about our stay. Like many KOAs, you are packed in but this one had privacy walls. Everything was clean and worked - what we expect with a KOA. I can't really fault the KOA for being so jammed in - it's their model. If you want more space and privacy, look for national or state parks, something we try to do when possible.

Very clean, well laid out campground. Great office help, good recommendations. Very comfortable sized sites. Only negative is location, noisy train and early am truck traffic, which they can’t fix. Nice spot!

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.
