The Alamogordo/White Sands KOA was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Borrow a sled from them for free if you're wanting to attempt sledding down the dunes! That alone payed for stay, as opposed to renting them at the park!

Cabin was really quite warm even when the AC was at the coldest and highest setting. It finally cooled down in the middle of the night. The pool was sadly closed until noon the morning we hoped to swim. Bathroom was nice and clean!

Nice KOA! Clean. Friendly staff and owners. Very pleasant stay. Umbrellas at the pool were broken, so there wasn’t any shade. Alamogordo isn’t the nicest place, but there were plenty of chain restaurants to eat at.

Liked the recreational facilities. Suggest you get some proper, functional charcoal grills for the tent sites. Water pressure could have been better. Helpful cheerful staff

I am a travelling healthcare provider who stays here monthly. ALWAYS clean, quiet and nice. Feels welcoming and staff are always consistently friendly and helpful. GREAT KOA! Don't stay anywhere else in Alamo!

We called to confirm our reservations and it was then that we learned that we did not reserve a site with full hookups. Stacy assisted us with securing a site with full hookups. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by Stacy. The staff was always available. The grounds were kept clean and orderly. Activities in the facility remained high. Great place to home base while visiting Alamogordo.

We booked 3 days here to have time to visit local sites.Had a propane leak day 2 and management was amazing in getting us to a repair place that took us in immediately, replaced the part and had us on our way. The local knowledge is a HUGE plus. Grounds were immaculate and dog park secure and shady. Clean bathrooms and showers. Also coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby int mornings.

This was our first experience tent camping as a family, and we LOVED this KOA!!!!! The staff were so welcoming and helpful, the camp store was stocked well, the laundry facilities were perfect, bathrooms spotless, pool & playground were so fun! And we all had so much fun playing foosball and ping pong during the hottest part of the day after sledding (with the sleds provided by the campground)!!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Alamogordo KOA. It was clean and well kept. Our 3 daughters enjoyed the recreation room with the ping pong table, foosball, and puzzles and games. The pool looked nice but we didn’t use it (we are from AZ and are used to warmer water :) Also, the ladies were really nice and helpful. We appreciated the sled rental/borrowing for the White Sands. Thank you

It was alright. Nothing special. Very loud from the AFB. Tons and tons of fighter jets and sonic boom throughout the day but it felt safe and the people were super friendly! Could use more washrooms.

No issues park suited my needs to a T. Sandy checked me in and she was fantastic. She saw me several times while I walked the dogs and always said hello, and checked to see how my stay was going

We have stayed here now, several times going and coming from our grandkids in Missouri. It is always clean, well kept, and we enjoy the area.

Greeted and taken to my spot immediately after entering. Didn’t have to get out of the RV for check in. Guided us right to our spot. Loved the customer service here.

It was one of nicest KOA I’ve ever stayed in! So helpful! So clean! Best of all the damp sites are very well marked. So many load not marked at all! It’s never clear who has what picnic table is my biggest beef! Also located far away from my rig! Overall great job! I hope to come back!

New to the KOA experience, but we will always look for them before other campgrounds now. This one in particular had sleds that we could use for white sands for free. They cost $25 each at the park. Manager was extreamly friendly.

The staff is very friendly. It’s very close to White Sands National Park. They have free sleds you can borrow. I recommend getting wax for the sleds easier to maneuver. The bathrooms are clean and they have a great pool.

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.

This place was great! Safe, friendly. Nice private dividing walls. The kids played on the playground and also the pedal cars. Bathrooms were clean. All staff was friendly. It was away from the main road so not alot of road nose. Except for an occasional train tooting it's horn. We loved this place and we'll be coming back when visiting white Sands. Thank you!
