Very nice maintained campgrpund. Beautiful pool and playground. Nice night time lighting that showed the way but did not shine up to hinder the amazing night sky. Sandy was knowable and very friendly. Thank you!

We were able to book a last minute reservation. The campground/bathrooms/showers were clean and there was a good area for us to walk our dog. Would recommend.

Even though the temps were in the 100s bc I came during a heat wave and I’m from Michigan I very much enjoyed my stay here and I want to come back! All staff were very friendly and our patio site was the best site and were VIPers so we camp a lot at KOA. Even the maintenance guy running around helping us was so nice. It’s just a Journey KOA but it’s close to some great national parks!

Everything was great during our stay. The campground staff were extremely helpful. I was able to borrow a sled for White Sands, which was a nice bonus. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The site was generally level and had some shade. The location is good for food, shopping, and White Sands. I would definitely stay here again.

A very nice campground with a few irritating “features.” The worst was the A/C in one of the cabins (K-2)… it was terrible, not keeping the single room at a comfortable temperature. We would have been happy with 75°. We were told that a new one was coming — after our stay. The next time we complained (and cancelled the remainder of our stay), we were told the roof was replaced recently (m

We have stayed ar many campgrounds, the host Sandy gave the best orientation, and they had complimentary coffee and tea, plus, a printout of restaurants in the area. Pet area, large spots with windbreaks. A must if traveling to White Sands NP

Probably the best KOA we have stayed at in 15 years. As tent campers it is so nice that this Campground has proper facilities for tents with excellent wiif on the site too. Too many times tents are left on a piece of spare land but not here. Purpose built tent area . Spotlessly clean and nice staff too. Highly recommend. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

We had visited this KOA last October and found the site to be very nice. We like the cabins for the convenience of not having to tow a unit. We have a place to hub and enjoy the local national parks and BLM sites. The availability of coffee is nice and the large air conditioned rec area was nice and welcome during the heat of July. We will include the Alamogordo KOA in future trips.

Wish the pool would stay open longer although staff was accommodating. Pool needs handicap ramp, chair and cleaning.

It was a quick one night stay, but we enjoyed the accommodations and amenities. Staff was super friendly and helpful!!!

We arrived late in the day tired and travel weary. Julie checked us in and gave us all the pertinent information. It was nice to see a kind face after experiencing many gruff resort managers. We were very close to White Sands National Park, so were able to make the tour loop in the morning and continue on our drive home to Northern California.

Perfect place to stay to visit White Sand NP. THe campground is not to big or to small and the pool is really great after a few hours hiking in the sand!!!

We had RV problems, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful! The KOA is very well kept and clean.The Friday night music was fun. If we are ever in the area again, we would most definitely stay at Alamogordo/White Sands KOA!

A beautiful facility with clean restrooms and a well furnished activity room. I really enjoyed the landscaping on the grounds featuring beautiful specimens of cactus.

Only one night stay. We were travelling with another couple and asked to be put t ogether but they said they couldn't, yet there were plenty of empty spots during our stay. The pool was small and needed some work to sides. It also was not very clear and the sides at the top needed some cleaning. Only had a couple tables and only one umbrella so there was very little shade during a 100 degree day.

The hosts were so lovely, and everything was so clean and well maintained. We really appreciated the use of sleds for the park! The grounds are in a pretty urban setting for what I imagine “camping” to be, but we were safe and secluded and well-located for our visit to White Sands. Very grateful for the care the hosts took in making everything as nice as possible.

We were not impressed with the town of Alamogordo but this KOA was like a little oasis. Nice people, clean and pretty park. Big sites and great pool. Enjoyed our overnight stay.

Nice park. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our site was flat and in good condition. The pool was great but a bit cloudy. Laundry room was ok. Clean bathrooms with nice showers. nice little dog park. A little noisy with the trains, but not horrible. Good location for us stopping over to see White Sands National Park. Would stay again.

The park is clean and the host Sandy is friendly and helpful. The amenities are well kept and you’re working a half hour of the NP, which is about average for that area. You can borrow sleds for the NP which is a great plus. If in the area again, we would stay.

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.
