Before that, Emile Bergeron had been a financial manager for an automobile company in New Hampshire, and wife Linda had been a mail carrier. Their son, John, and his wife Lorelle are also part of the Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA family. But the real boss is John and Lorelle's little daughter, Simone. If you stay at this KOA long enough, you're sure to see her in her bright yellow KOA shirt. The Bergerons have taken their diamond-in-the-rough campground and turned it into one of the gems in the KOA Kampgrounds system. They were recognized in 2003 as the Franchisee of the Year among more than 480 KOA Kampgrounds in North America. Emile, Linda, John, Lorelle and Simone all have their camper's interests at heart. That's why you'll see John busy flipping pancakes for your breakfast every morning. And if you don't feel like cooking dinner, just stop at the store and put in your order for the restaurant down the road.
