Morrilton / Conway KOAMeet Your Hosts Built in 1970, the Morrilton KOA was founded on family. J.J. Magie and his wife raised their children and their grandchildren at the campground, as well as encouraged their employees to bring their family. J.J. Magie does not spend as much time at the KOA as he did in 1970, but he frequents the campground as much as possible to ensure things are running smoothly. He enjoys visiting with the campers and spending time in the surrounding nature. Tina Spears now manages the KOA full time with her team of seasonal employees. "It is very family-oriented," said Tina, "My son comes to the campground as much as possible and the other ladies with children can bring their children as well." She strives to keep her employees on top of all her campers' needs. "The customer is always right. I try to ask them, 'What can I do to make your stay unforgettable?'" said Tina. "I help my employees understand that in the real business world, customers are everything." The campground is alive with numerous oak and pine trees that envelope the two cabins and 63 RV or tent sites. Located near a state park, visitors are able to hike the trails and relax at the waterfalls. The campground is a destination park, and the average stay is two days-enough time to visit many of the local sights as well as the state park. So much remodeling has recently been done that if a camper visited years ago, the campground would be nearly unrecognizable today. Due to the campground's newly modern amenities, campers can enjoy an outdoor experience with many indoor conveniences. When Tina is not managing the campground, she enjoys doing things with her son; including horseback riding, chuck wagon racing, and softball. Come meet The Magie Family. |
