Easter Egg Hunt Carnival
Dates: Fri, April 03, 2015
Hippity Hoppity down the Battleship trail for a fun Spring event with continuous games and egg hunts along with a bounce house and even more surprises this year! Make sure to bring your camera and take pictures with Buddy the Battleship Bunny. Egg hunts will run throughout the event so that kids are guaranteed a chance to find eggs and will be able to "hunt" at their leisure.
Time: 10am - 2pm
Admission: $5 Per Person (including adults), Children 2 and under: Free. This is a weather dependent event.
6th Annual Azalea Big Buddy 5K/10K/Fun Walk
The North Carolina Azalea Festival 5K/10K & 1 mile-Fun Walk is an annual event hosted by the Cape Fear Volunteer Center. Kids, dogs, and costumes are welcome!
All proceeds from this event benefit the Cape Fear Volunteer Center Big Buddy Program. Big Buddy is a one-on-one mentoring program that matches at-risk youth ages 6-16 in New Hanover County and Brunswick County with positive adult role models. Youth are identified as at-risk due to the following circumstances: involvement with the juvenile justice system, excessive in-school and/or out-of-school suspensions, poor academic performance, and lack of positive role models. The Cape Fear Volunteer Center is a 501c3 and works to recruit and train volunteers, match volunteers with youth, offer support and guidance through case management, and provide monthly group activities.

2015 Carolina Cup

The 2015 Carolina Cup kicks off the race season with four courses in beautiful Wrightsville Beach! This competition will be complete with a kid's race, the Harbor Island Recreational "fun" race, a Money Island open race and the dreaded Graveyard Elite Race. This competition is in its fourth year and in 2012, the Carolina Cup was the largest race on the East Coast with over 400 paddlers competing in the first day of competitions. In 2013, there were over 600! The competition is planned with a number of fun activities that will make this a true stand-up paddle destination event. Expect clinics by Danny Ching, Jimmy Terrell, Larry Cain, Jaime Mitchell and PaddleFit. It'll be one that you can plan a 5-day weekend and bring the whole family!

Welcome to the 22nd KickBack Jack's Annual Seaside Soccer Classic!

This tournament is only open to USYS/Affiliate State Associations that play Challenge, Select, Classic and Premier Boys U10-U18 league play and USYS/Affiliate State Associations that play Challenge, Select, Classic and Premier Girls U10-U15 league play. The 22nd Annual KickBack Jack's Seaside Soccer Classic will ONLY accept USYS/NCYSA registered teams!
REGISTRATION: Registration (mandatory) will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Friday, May15th at KickBack Jack's (418 S College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403). A representative from each team MUST be present. 50th Annual Memorial Day Observance-Battleship
On Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, at 5:45 pm, people of all generations from across the State will gather together on the deck of the Battleship to pay their respects. An emotional ceremony, preceding and concluding with military musical arrangements provided by a military band, and a guest speaker reflecting on the past as well as where we are today. The Executive Director of the Battleship, Captain Terry A. Bragg and members of the USS NORTH CAROLINA Battleship Commission invite the public to this free event.

Competitors from around the country and the world have traveled to the Wilmington, N.C. area to enjoy everything this world famous waterfront destination has to offer and to experience a competition Triathlete Magazine named as one of the top 5 iron distance triathlons in the world.
