Staff all very friendly and helpful with any question. Campground very clean and kept up had a wonderful spot amongst the tall trees with a patio. Laundry facilities were spotless. Campground close to everything. Loved our time in Cades Cove. Staff recommend The Abbey for dinner, great atmosphere with a view. Would definitely recommend this KOA

Great well laid out sites and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful upon arrival and I didn’t have to get out and go inside for my reservation all taken care of at the entrance. We were lead to our site and informed how to get in touch if we needed anything.

Only problem was the trash truck noise dumping the trash at a ridiculous time in the morning! 4-5 am!

Great check in process and very helpful staff. Site was clean as well as the rest of the campground. There were a couple of the staff members that were not very friendly and almost looked like they were watching for us to break a rule or something but most all of the others were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

We took a quick trip to test out our new rental camper & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the process. Staff was attentive and friendly which made us feel welcomed. We loved playing Bingo! The only complaint is the leash rule for dogs isn't monitored well with little dogs. Several times the small dog staying in site 100 came over to our site while we were cooking/eating. The owner laughed it off.

I came to get away for a weekend in the mountians and thays exactly what i did it was wonderful the staff helped me back in they awnsered any question i had and the ammenaties were just a stones throw away i loved every second of it and im defnetly gonna come back plus this place was soooo quiet it was the most peaceful ive felt in years

This was the most beautiful KOA we've ever camped at. It was landscaped, neat and clean. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We love Townsend KOA. It's a quiet charming campground located along a beautiful river. It is our short haul getaway. Great people great staff, beautiful sites. If you want to get rowdy just minutes to Gatlinburg and then just a east short drive to listening to the river run and having a nice fire and grill out. One of our favorite camp grounds. We have stayed there 4 different times now. The biggest issue we have is cell service and internet. As you pull into the entrance cell service falls off

We stayed Saturday through Monday M and had a great stay. Site 88 at first appears very narrow and not what we had hoped. Once camper was in, the sitting area behind the camper offered almost total seclusion from the rest of the activity and we Loved it!! Even went and changed from a “premium site” for June 2024, to site 88;)

Great staff and nice facilities. Only thing I would do different is upgrade to a riverside site if available. Great location near Cades Cove Loop. It is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but far enough away to avoid the chaos of those towns.

Campground was very clean, quiet. Loved the patio with table and chairs and glider. Really like at spot garbage pickup. Everyone wa frie day and always asking if they can help. You have a great staff.

Beautiful campsite. Although small, their design affords maximum privacy. Steve, Jeff, and Adam all work with the campers, and all of them were outstanding in their attitudes and willingness to assist.

The sites were very close together, but we expect that at a KOA. We checked out all the other campgrounds while we were there, and this one was definitely the prettiest. The view of the river was awesome, the gentlemen who helped us park and drove the carts around were very nice. Shelley the office lady was super helpful. We already booked for next year!

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.
