we enjoyed our stay. we would like to see a bit more mosquito control after 5pm. for instance, mosquito blue light lamps around live music area or more fans to allow us to enjoy pool deck or music and bar during those peak hours. the mosquito are so bad we have to stay indoors.

This is a beautiful KOA. The staff was the best. Helpful with a couple problems water/car battery. Thanks! The staff in the bar area were more concerned with taking care of the regulars. Some of us were new and treated like outsiders. Lots of complaints in the pool about them as well. Bar staff needs to be friendlier and talk to everyone like they are special. Best way to get people back!!

Pro: Beauty place, we’ll maintained. Cons: pool was way to hot, I know there’s nothing that can be done. Maybe look at more shade for summer months. Also if you enforce rules, do it to everyone and not pick and choose who gets point out.

9 days in paradise. Except for the humidity! We met several nice people in the park. Tracy and Ryan that work in the Cafe store were terrific, such nice people working there. Definitely would return.

We had the best stay at sugarloaf KOA. This was our first time staying in a KOA and our first trip to the keys. The campground was kept immaculate and every employee there was so friendly and helpful.

Campground is beautifully landscaped; sites are a nice size. Mosquitoes are horrendous at dark-we felt like we couldn’t even be outside after the sun went down because of how bad they were, even with bug spray. Pool area was gorgeous but water was extremely warm; didn’t provide the refreshing feeling from the heat we were looking for. Had great entertainment, staff was super friendly and helpf

We were looking for a more affordable alternative to staying on Key West. Sugarloaf KOA fit the bill perfectly. This newly rebuilt campground is gorgeous with landscaping that provides tons of privacy, a great pool area with park at one end and pub at the other and great restroom facilities. Be ready for no-see-ums. When they’re out, they’re hungry! An outdoor fan will keep them at bay.

We had the best time & experience. Beautiful location & wonderful staff- Kudos to April and Mike and Kim! Highly reccommend booking Captain Scott for a boat excursion. Will spread the word and be back for sure!!

My stay was wonderful we've been going to the KOA since before the storm that wiped everything out before they redid it you had a wonderful time me and my family the only thing I can say is that the pool feels like hot bath water when I mentioned it they said that they were trying to get a cooler for it but it was very expensive and that was the only thing that I would have to say

Wonderful, very clean, excellent helpful staff and great campsites. Only negative is pool bar which seems to be dominated every afternoon by rowdy, loud and cursing locals using the "F-bomb" frequently where small children & families are all around!!!!!

The Key West KOA/Sugarloaf Key Park is wonderful. It is beautifully landscaped and clean. The staff is friendly and there is so much to do! Loved the live music at the pool bar and the beach way lovely.

Hands down best KOA I've ever stayed at and wave been to a lot of them. The only constructive criticism I have is that you get friendly people in the marina. Everyone on site was friendly as heck except the old guy and girl working in the marina, they weren't rude but flat out unsocialble, . Also need to address that pool temperature its uncomfortably HOT and Id be willing to bet unsafe

I had the Misfortune of being assigned to site 801 nice site UNTIL IT RAINS. Then it becomes a 3" deep wading pool that does not go away. Sad part KOA is very much aware of the problem but REFUSES TO FIX IT. The camp workers did their best brought in small sump pump that ran for 5hrs trying to remove the water. The manager Wendy don't care because she won't talk to a customers concerns about it.

Our stay was wayyy too brief~ we didn't want to leave! We were visiting the Keys for a wedding and I would come back to this home away from home in a heartbeat, with no reason other than to indulge and enjoy the most beautiful park we've ever stayed at. Perfect sites that are thoughtfully laid out, lush landscaping, gorgeous pool, friendly staff~ this KOA has it all as well as being near Key West!

The campsite is in top shape. Very clean; the sites are all gravel, from what I saw. The site we were on was very level. The only downside is some of the sites are flooded after heavy rain. The other con for our trip was the number of no-see-ums. My wife had over 100 bits on her legs and arms, and we tried everything, hence the "8" on whether I would recommend this location.

This was our first time to the Florida Keys. In doing research leading up to the trip we were hearing a lot of mixed messages regarding The Florida Keys so honestly, we were going in with the idea that this was going to be a one and done trip, and we would never visit again, but much to our surprise this was one of our best trips and large part because of the KOA. This KOA is the BEST out there!!!

An amazing place in every way! Remarkable helpful staff, great facilities and thoughtful beautiful, landscaping. And if that was not enough, I caught my first tarpon fishing out front in my kayak! Thanks to everyone for a fine vacation!

We have traveled all over the county and stayed at many KOA sites. This one is by far our favorite...The pool and bar area is beyond nice !

This is, hands down, the nicest, friendliest, most efficient KOA I have ever stayed in. EVERY employee we came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. If I had to find something to improve it would be the pool and bar furnitures lack of padding. Now if I didn't have such a boney butt it wouldn't be an issue. I love the place!

Staff members are awesome and a pleasure to chat with. That goes for all the workers, very informative information passed along to me. The hotel rooms could use a little improving: fans, dresser, fridge doors opening in right directions, and oven. We stayed in the RV which the landscaping was beyond belief! The pool could use a chiller was just as warm as the spa. Overall excellent stay/staff

This place is super clean and has beautiful landscaping. All employees are very nice and helpful. Only bad thing was the no see ums. People mentioned they were bad at dusk. We were eaten alive from sun up til after dark. Ruined our stay and the rest of our vacation. Couldn’t enjoy the stay at KOA and spent the rest of our vacation itching and scratching. We each have at least 150 bites on us.

My husband and I just got back from our stay at Sugarloaf. It was everything we have been told and more. From check in to check out, the staff was always there to help with a smile. The grounds are amazing. There is not a bad spot, every site is clean and well maintained. The pool is beautiful, live music and bar area is very nice and the store has everything you would need if something was forgotten. We met so many wonderful fellow campers and we've booked for next year.

Everyday in the Keys are PARADISE!!! This island resort has 2 beautiful new hotels with large suites to accommodate your family. Fully stocked Marina for all your fishing needs,also has boats, paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, pedal carts for rent. Sandy Beach with loungers and inflatable water floats to play on. The pool is so well landscaped you wouldn't believe your in the middle of a RV resort!!!! There's a enormously large hot tub, lounge areas around gas fire pits, hammocks hidden in the beautiful lounge area to just relax in the shade and forget about everything. The Pub,Store & Cafe are great amenities and all centrally located by the pool. This is Glamping in the Island Keys!!!!

I almost don't want to review this KOA because everyone will want to go. This is an AMAZING campground. The staff work tirelessly to keep the park clean and they are all super friendly and helpful. The amenities are outstanding from the activities, rental items( boats, kayaks, bikes) to the full liquor BAR and live music. The camp store has everything if you forgot to pack something and offer quick bites to eat. The location is perfect for a quick day trip to Key West. Can't wait to go back!
