Meet Your Hosts
For over 15 years, Tom and Stacie Brooks have been enjoying a wonderful ride with KOA and all it has to offer. "We hope to make it our lifelong career," says Tom.
"We entertained on cruise ships for nine years after college. For a short time after that, we tried "real life" (computer jobs, etc.) We looked for another job where we could work together and where we could continue to be in the business of fun. We saw a tiny ad in the Orlando paper about Manager Trainee opportunities at KOA and the rest is history!" says Stacie.
These high school sweethearts from the north Georgia mountains have been on the move managing KOA Kampgrounds from the Pacific to the Atlantic and from New England to the Florida Keys, with a few stops in between.
The Brooks' excel as campground hosts. "We remember that first and foremost the camper is here to have fun," says Tom, "We do whatever we can to ease their worries and provide relaxation and enjoyment."
Campers notice the efforts of Tom, Stacie and their staff. A recent comment card read, "We wanted to let you know what a fine job this park and the staff do for us. We are here for our third winter because of the cleanliness of the facilities, the many kindnesses of the staff, and the great activities."
The campground has many great amenities, including the pool, hot tub, restaurant, fishing trips, Kamp K9 pet playground, children's playground, exercise room, waterfront deluxe cabins, unique water tower condos, and convenient access to Schlitterbahn Water Park and some of the best beaches in Texas!
When not putting their time and energy into the campground, they love to travel and have visited over 40 countries. Tom also likes to play the guitar and harmonica, while Stacie is a ventriloquist, enjoys Zumba, and is a TIVO Master.

Stay in shape with low impact aerobics. Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 a.m. Classes are free for our KOA guests.
KOA Pool Aerobics
Monday/Wednesday/Friday, at 9 a.m. Pool Aerobics, 9 a.m. at the pool, on Monday/Wednesday/Friday (sunblock, sunglasses, hat, and noodle suggested). These classes free to KOA guests.
KOA Tone and Stretch Classes

We now have a shuttle stop right at our KOA entrance! The shuttle is free and it's a great way to get all over the island and beaches and over to Port Isabel. Check by our office for a schedule and info.

Sea Turtle Days! The nesting season has begun.
Nesting season has officially begun. On Thursday, April 12, 2012, the first nest was found 20 miles north of Access 6 with 92 eggs. The second nest was found on Boca Chica with 114 eggs. On Friday, April 13, in a short ceremony at the Visitor’s Center, the Sea Turtle Days flag was raised to officially start the nesting season.
