We had a great time at the Santa Cruz North KOA. We tent camped and our children enjoyed the grassy tent area. We also liked the proximity to the tide pools and the views of the ocean and the lighthouse.

I enjoyed the experience. Everyone was friendly and it was clean. I will definitely be considering it a place to stay the next time in the area.

Great place! Perfect for us, who needed extra amenities on our first camping trip with little ones. I can see if you are seeking solitude this is NOT the place though. Overall, what we expected and loved it!

Tent Camping in the Meadow area seems like a bit of an afterthought. Getting water is a bit of a hike and it's not clear at the outset where exactly one should go. Beyond that and the hike to the comfort stations, the staff was great and did their best to cope with the near full park over the week-end. All in all, a very good place to stay close to the coast.

very nice location, short walk to the ocean. Hot showers, quiet except for the yipping dogs tethered to motorhomes, Store not much. There is a tricky "conservation fee" a way to tack an extra $5 on each nights stay, which is annoying. Just charge what is fair and avoid the "fees"

This was our first camping trip with tents... I can say all 17 of us had the best time ever. Easy, affordable, and FUN!!!

Site is in incredible location and with great options, tent camping, RVs, lodge, cabins. Trails from campground and Ano Nuevo state park so close by. Staff super accommodating and nice! only comment is that showerhead in women's bathroom was falling apart- otherwise nice clean bathrooms. I would definitely return

bummer no pool. an animal knocked over trash can at bathroom & left a big mess at entrance. The shower head in bathroom was broken, it was very difficult to take a shower with just a hose. I still had fun and will return, thank you.

It's lovely, but could use a bit more vegetation to provide privacy at the sites. I think they are working on it. Gorgeous area!

We had an amazing time at Costanoa Koa. We camped, and although it was a little cold, we still enjoyed our stay. We hiked to the beach which was GORGEOUS. We also went down to Ano Nuevo Park and saw the elephant seals. It was a long hike esp for little children, but the views are heaven. We will be making this our new annual family trip! Next time around we will stay in the cabins!

Stayed 2 nights at the group tent campsite (Ohlone Gardens) and great times were had by all! Took advantage of short distance to beach, food service, and bathrooms/hot showers. The weather was interesting (SUPER windy on Saturday and very sunny on Sunday morning) but keeps you on your toes. Will be back next year!

The location was great along Hwy 1 and was right in the middle of wilderness and the beautiful coastline. Given the rustic nature of the campground, I could overlook the bathrooms which were a little less than pristine.

This is our second time to visit this campsite. We loved the facility, the setting and the service. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS KOA AND WILL MAKE OUR ANNUAL VISIT TO THIS CAMP from now on... Duc D. Le and Families

The staff were helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The tent camp site was well maintained. The amenities were very nice. I camped at the Meadow. The only thing I didn't like was the construction equipment that rumbled by the Meadow quite a few times in the mornings. Very noisy. It woke us up. It also raised clouds of smelly dirt & manure that covered our tent.

Verry expensive. Beside of that the rest is pretty perfect.

Beautiful location, great facility and great staff. Unfortunately not all otbers around us were very courteuis campers. We were in the lighthouse meadow, and some folks pulled up in atruck around midnite, left their lights on whils they set up a tent, & their use of language and their volume was quite ddisturbing. Their language continued in the morning so we packed up and left.

Great place! Our son rented a bike for the day and rode all around. The horse riding was great as well. Everything was well-organized and friendly. Loved loved loved the Pine Tent. The outdoor chess set was hugely popular. Almost always in use -- my son and I couldn't get to it until the third day. I recommend repainting the board and replacing the pieces. Maybe even get a second one!

The campgrounds are beautiful, bathrooms were clean, and the staff was really nice. The tent area is on the edge of the property and was extremely windy and cold. The tent area is basically an open field with a few picnic tables. It's mostly maintained but there was quite a bit of poison oak in the tent area.

The Costanoa KOA was awesome! Although the wind was howling most of the time, there is easy access to inland hiking trails where the wind died down and the temperatures rose. This KOA is perfect for kite surfers since Waddell Beach is only minutes away!
