Campground Reviews

I would have liked to have more activities for the kids to do during the week. We stayed all week and they did not have much to do when the weather was not good. The rental could have been cleaner.I had to wipe all the floors with lysol wipes. The staff could have been alittle more friendly too.

Little outdated main area and park area but bathrooms were super clean, staff was very friendly and management went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Would recommend and stay again

Sites were small for a pull through... If there was paved area for where picnic table is that would help the mud... But considering the summer we have had.. The sites were reality dry... Ladies showers were not clean... Needed sever attention... Needed to ask for wifi pass code and cable tv list.. Perhaps a package given at time of checking would help that...

I had a great stay here, and they made it easy for me to check in after hours. The only warning I have for others is that there are trains running near the campground throughout the night, and they can be loud.

location with the camping experience was what i was after. Location it had. But, the camping experience was lacking. The lots are very small and mostly paved. As well as trying to have a camp fire under a spot light was not very enjoyable.

Our stay was mostly geared toward Cedar Point. We had a nice time at KOA in Sandusky. It is very convenient to stay at the campgrounds rather than drive back.Overall the place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Good choice for being so close to the amusement park.

With the national name of KOA we thought it would have better. It was way over priced for the campsite you got. You could move in you own site it was so small. Only highlight was the playground for my son. We have already told three families to stay else where. Every disappointed

The campground is located only a couple miles from Cedar Point Amusement Park. That was really the only good thing about it. The sites were to narrow (needed about 6 more feet each side, the store did not have much at all, and the cost was $59 for a Thursday and $77 for a Friday. That is the highest we have ever paid at a KOA.

The park is awesome.very clean. We stayed in a park model .My only issue was they need to replace the matress on the bed and the fouton..

The staff were not too friendly or welcoming. The campground was pretty empty considering this was prime summer season. When I checked in they gave us a cabin that was different than promised and there were people in our Cabin. The unit was missing cutlery and some of the dishes were cracked. No kids activities that I know of when we stayed. We wont be back here.

The cabin did not appear to be clean upon check-in. The floors were very dirty. The bottoms of my feet were black after walking around barefooted. The decor was very unappealing and could use an update. A kitchen table would be helpful.

Great site - love that everything is paved. Really appreciated the maps you had to local grocery stores etc. An update in the bathrooms and office would be great. Thanks for having the games available for our kids to use - they really liked Risk.

Loved the stay just wish there was more shade or ways to rent canopies while visiting

The staff was awesome and extremely accommodating, the site was clean and well taken care of, and the location was exactly what were looking for. It was a really amazing vacation!

The train made it difficult to sleep - along with the late night arrivals. Even though there is a quiet time after 11 pm nothing was done about rowdy guests up until extremely late hours (4am) and profane language - even when night security was told!

We've stayed 3 difference times at Bayshore KOA, and we will go back.. It's a great campground, with plenty to do..pool, playground and plenty of adult activities. Tucked away on the bay, feels like you really are getting away but there's plenty of things outside of campground being it's located right in Sandusky!! We camp on primitive camp sites, but may be upgrading in future to a camper. Enjoy

Our stay was great, clean cabin and staff was friendly all the time, the place is close to all attractions and not expensive at all. I really recomend it to anyone. We will be back here next year.

Love the large grassy areas. Makes for a pleasant evening to cool down after a hard day's sightseeing.

We asked for a shaded site but the site we were given did have a single tree near it. They did move us to another site. When it rained the site flooded with ankle high water. There were no paper towels in the bathrooms. The sites were to small.
Aug 12, 2014
Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites way to close together and allowing 8 people per sites adds to overcrowding. Should not allow tents plus motorhome on single site. Opening fishing pond at 10am & closing at 5pm is dumb. Should be open all the time. Fish bite dawn & dusk. Not enough lighting in bathrooms need light by sink for shaving.

Facilities were more like a single wide not the cute wooden Kabins at other KOA's. Aside from that, cleanliness is not a priority at this KOA. There were hairs and dirt along the edges of the floors in the bathroom and bedroom along with a used sucker stick in the window sill. With all the dust/dirt in the window sill it's not hard to believe the sucker stick was missed.
