Campground Reviews

the cleanliness of the cottage we rented could have been better, lots of cobwebs and the bathrooms were in need of care the one time we went in it, (we had a bathroom in our cottage so did not use the shower house, just went in once and it was not in the best shape, one stall had fecal matter on the floor), the staff was friendly enough.

Nice sites but older laundry room. It could use a little sprucing up. It was very warm and the surfaces of the machines were dirty and out of order.

Close to Cedar Point so convenient location. Sites are relatively flat, but rutted from heavy rains and little gravel. Tight spaces, no grill, but does have a fire ring. Like most KOA's, the internet signal is strong but unusable because of poor band-width. Was not able to download e-mail. Pool was murky. Nice outdoor screened area for children to watch movies. Staff very friendly.

This campground was very clean. There were train tracks with trains running on it all night. (They weren't as loud at the side of the campground where the catch and release pond is) The bugs were grossly thick and the spider's equally thick. This was a family friendly campground.

We only stayed here while visiting Cedar Point. It seemed like a nice campground, was clean and the people were friendly. Our neighbor had a trailer jack stand malfunction and the staff were very helpful getting them underway. Some of the RV sites are very close but our trip was less about the camping and more about access to Cedar Point.

Fun and enjoyable stay ... will be back

The KOA people are fantastic and always willing and available to help you have a great and wonderful stay. My only negative was the mindset of the annual regulars that act as if you are intruders if you happen to be parked in or around them.

We had a very small site with 2 trees but with another site it would have been great. This KOA offered lots to do and was clean and customer service.

This campground has the virtue of being the closest to Cedar Point amusement park. RV campsites are very narrow and difficult to negotiate for larger rigs. Adding to this challenge is the limited amount of parking area for towing vehicles. We were awakened at 11:45 PM (45 minutes into Quiet Hours) and asked to move our vehicle so that a camper could negotiate a turn into their site.

The park model was nice the kitchen could use some bowls and knifes couldn't even cut up a watermelon or make a large salad without having to go to store and buy a bowl need to tell people to bring there own paper goods other then that it was nice

Single night stay. Very wet, but we managed to sleep well. Busy place. Clean, but noisy.

Nice time.... staff was friendly and accommodating and campgrounds were great.... bed was very uncomfortable and train coming by every 30 min was annoying, but it was still a pleasant stay!!!!
Aug 17, 2013
Sites too small, too many noisy seasonal, too many trains, & what sounded like gun shots just outside park!!

Kampground was a bit cramped. The sites for campers were really small. I am glad we didn't have any bumpouts! Other than that we liked the Kampground and the staff seemed friendly and helpful.

We love your campground. This was our second visit. The grounds are clean and well groomed. The staff is very friendly. The only problem we had was partying from one of the permanent sites until 3 am.

Our stay was very peaceful. Only disappointment was the size of the fishing pond. I think the pond should be a bigger one for those that want to fish other than on a charter boat.

Our visit was very nice. I was impressed with how clean the sites were. We will stay here again when we come to Cedar Point.

there were plenty of sights but we were put by the dumpsters and had people come constantly to throw trash away...however the restrooms and showers were over the top clean...

The mayflies made a mess, but the location near Cedar Point was perfect!
Aug 13, 2013
Staff are pleasant - it is just extremely crowded - campsites are crazy close together
Aug 13, 2013
a person near us in a tent had a dog that barked all night and the train was loud during the night. The train could not be helped but the dog was against campground rules and did not get kicked out until it bit someone.

Well first of all when I called to make reservations I asked if the bathrooms were handicap accessible which I was told yes. You had one that was so far away from our site is was ridiculous. When we got there are electric was on I called twice without someone coming over to the site to assist me. With no help from your members to fix the issues I did it myself. The noise of the trains was bad

Clean bath houses, kids loved jump pillow, pool, and activities. Very buggy...can you spray for that? It could be that we were there during August and that's just part of camping. Very nice staff! Close to so many things and places!

my stay is always easy and carefree at Bayshore. and everyone there is helpful and friendly
Aug 13, 2013
We were surprised that the "campground" was in the middle of the city, next to the train track and the airport!
Aug 13, 2013
Our trailer a.k.a cabin was clean and what was described. The activities presented online were there but very poorly kept up and not what was expected by my girls. They were disappointed.. This koa was more like a glorified trailer park. The front desk help was not knowledgeable about the area and more concerned about taking pictures of each other than helping customers.

The staff was very friendly, and the campground was clean with plenty of great bathrooms. The sites themselves were very small, however. We were right on top of our neighbors. They have a very nice office and store. The coffee was quite good in the morning!

It is a great spot to go to cedar point but to go relax it isn't the best. Trains come right by the campground all night and the sights are real tight.
