Tent Reviews

Jul 29, 2015
Overall the place was well kept and clean, but we had no idea that it was in the middle of the city and the information about the extras was incorrect. If you say that things, like the pool, are open until 11pm, then ALL staff needs to either follow that or the brochure needs to change. It would have been nice to know this information beforehand. Other than those few things our stay was nice.

Great place, with a great staff! My children, who had never been camping before, can't wait to go back!

Tent site T2 was not well kept. Unlevel; surrounded by large holes, ivy and stumps; and allowed next site to set up after nightfall. View of the back of a grocery store and overhead powerlines were an unpleasant surprise. Pool bathroom was in rough shape. Employees were pleasant. Kids activities were great.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, good location! Will be back!

Our tent site along the river was beautiful. Dollywood fireworks in the park were awesome. Pool and hot tub were great. Unfortunately, being woken really early 2 mornings in a row by a truck banging dumpsters and also with a weedeater and lawnmowers next door in the park were a bit harsh (not your fault). Despite that, it's worth staying because the location is so convenient and pretty.

Very good people

toilet always stop up,low flow no good, super flow needed, fire ring's a joke, use heavier ring with heavy grate for cooking over fire, other than that,we had a great time, really love camping, thank's

Our stay was great. I had not been camping in over 25 years. The only downside was that across the creek was Food City, which kept getting deliveries in the middle of the night - from 1 am to around 4 am. The noise kept us up at times.

well-kept, clean bathrooms, shady sites, nice pool and jumping pillow, too much noise and lights from across the river

The staff was VERY nice. I didn't like that the playground is kind of back off & hidden a little. I didn't feel comfortable with that & stayed with my kids the whole time. I don't think that is the best place for a playground. There were a lot of older teenagers around the picnic table there that looked like they might have been up to no good. Just a bad place for a playground. Overall:ok

We did not get to stay. I was in the hospital. When I tried to cancel they told me I couldn't get my money back so i will not recommend koa to anyone. I would have camped with you guys had I not had this medical condition arise and am really upset that I can't get my money back thank you kerri tetstone

The workers were great the neighbors however were drunk, loud and awake all night.Beautiful location.

I loved the fact that I could buy Dollywood tickets at a discounted rate & the park was easily accessible. However, my stay was a little uncomfortable because of the excessive noise every morning at 4:30 from across the creek which made my stay less "primitive". Also the bathrooms (dirty by the way) were very far away. My son & I could never make it in time, so we had to use the woods.

The staff was great for the most part, but I was disappointed in the tent sites. There were a few trees on one side and a huge open field on the other. There was trash all over the site and it was down away from everything else. We felt like we were in the ghetto. The "dog park" was so small, there was hardly any room for my dog to run. We Left after only one night and stayed in a hotel.

Loved our shaded tent site #32 down by the river. The singing of the cicadas put me to sleep each night.

Fantastic stay. This was our first time camping via tent and the campground was great. Plenty to do and great amenities! Thanks!

Short and sweet!

The tent site was okay. They were covered in ants. The bath house is to far away and they need electricity and water.

Liked our spot but bathrooms not climate controlled which is nice if you are tent camping and don't want to come out of the shower as sweaty as when you went in. Relay for Life going on next door until late at night, I support this totally but we were not told this was going on until AFTER we had committed to the night.

I never stayed like this terrible tent site..it was located front of noisy river side so too many mosquito in there..worse than that next cabin people stayed outside drinking, loud music, kids shouting almost all night but no manager over there.. it was nightmare for us..so don't tent over there..

Campground was nice. Park officials did not enforce quiet hours and we had VERY noisy neighbors.
May 27, 2015
The facilities were clean, and kept up with. The staff was great, and willing to help when needed. This is my second time staying at this KOA, and I will always think of them first when returning to Gatlinburg.

We loved it! Very friendly staff and clean area
May 11, 2015
Overall, a great stay. Friendly staff except for one who was extremely abrupt and rude. When we 1st arrived bathrooms were immaculate. Very little cleaning over the weekend and by the time we left, the showers were filthy. But that did not ruin our stay, still had fun, kids loved the jumping pillow. We will come again!

Clean and well maintained. They know us and that my husband service dogs.

Great location. Clean and quiet campground. Well-equipped amenities all around! Friendly and helpful staff.
May 06, 2015
The first campsite we were given was under a ledge from the road that was inaccessible in our van as well as it had no grill. We requested a new site and were given a site further away and it had not been mowed in a while as well as there were enough bird droppings on table to keep it from ever rotting.the pool and hot tub and jump pillow were nice but the camp sites lack some maintenance.shower ok

The amenities were awesome. The site location was not as desired. Having businesses and loud noise throughout the whole night made it difficult for my 3 kids and myself to sleep. The staff was very friendly.

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Able to check in with late registration which helped us out tremendously.

Showers in bathhouse were cold. My friends and dads site were 111 and 112. One of their picnic tables were broke and the other one didnt even have one. Also need to lay some more gravels in that area or plant some grass. Got pretty muddy after the rain

exactloy what we needed to make trip as inexpensive compared to hotel. We got to do more for less.

We are in our 50s and have not camp since we were kids. Could not have picked better place for our first time. Everyone was great and helpful. Ask about fishing and it was okay. Water was running fast so was advise not to swim. Already booked another stay in May.

The campground itself was clean, well maintained, and had a friendly staff! My only frustration was that it appeared from the description online and the photos that it was secluded and rustic, rather than in the heart of tourist-land in Pigeon Forge. Being awakened by the sound of the garbage truck each morning at 4am was not in my plan (though not the fault of the KOA, I recognize!)

The facilities are fine and it is centrally located for Pigeon Forge, but the location is too urban: bright and noisy at night.
Oct 30, 2014
had to rent motel for first night the river was too high to our tent. think we should have had a refund of some kind
Oct 29, 2014
The campground facilities were clean. The sites are a little close together for primitive tent sites. Good place to stay when seeing area attractions because there is a trolley that will take you on the strip, to Dollywood and to Gatlinburg.
Oct 26, 2014
The bathrooms were exceptionally nice, with soap dispensers and automatic paper towel holders. There were 3 showers and 4 stalls. There was a nice pool, hottub, and laundry area. There was also a kitchen area to cook food with a sink and picnic table. Compared to other campgrounds, this was the nicest one for us.
Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Convenient location Friendly staff Tent camping rates were reasonable Cons: We had site 30. Felt very cramped against the corner tent camping spot (31). Our picnic tables were approximately 5 ft apart, and parking was tight to allow them access.
