Great place for a stop. People went out of their way to help. Very nice. I would also like to thank Gila Bend KOA for recommending this KOA as Gila Bend was full.

Very nice campground. Wonderful hosts and work campers!

Frankie and Jerry do a great job running the campground. From their steakhouse to their meeting us when we arrived, we had no complaints. They are a great couple. We will go back, definitely.

Really great! Very friendly and most accommodating! I told my friends about you and a couple have chosen to stay at your Picacho/Tucson NW, AZ camp grounds. Thanks guys! I will be back for sure. Oh, almost forgot. Really enjoyed eating at the Chuckwagen Steak House. However, if I may say, was really disappointed about not having fish and fried okra on the menu. Why? But steaks are great!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I remember you. Sorry you missed the fish and okra. Come back soon.

We were on the back row and the wifi did not reach to there. Bummer! Park is very clean and quiet. Have stayed here many times.

The owners and staff are awesome. The sites are roomy; you are not right on top of your neighbor. Frankie's Chuckhouse restaurant served delicious steaks. Truly enjoyed our stay,

Thank you and come back please!

Very nice staff. Made our first hookup with our new trailer easy. We only stayed one night. Due to this we stayed hooked up and where unable to extend the slide due to a tree. Not their fault. Road noise was loud at night.

The restaurant is the highlight of this campground. We are there twice and had wonderful meals both times.

Super helpful staff and a great coffee shop. Definitely will return

Very nice KOA park. Easy in and out to interstate. The best little chuckwagon steakhouse anywhere! Steaks cooked over an open pit with pecan wood. Delicious!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you, come back we enjoyed having you.

Very clean, friendly staff, well maintained.

The site was excellent. All facilities were good. The only problem was the incessant, 24 hour noise from the road and railway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The noise isn't something we can change. The interstate is close which makes us easy to get to and then to get back onto the interstate.

Everything was great except for no on site wi-fi which means no TV.
Feb 08, 2017
Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Only problem was moose from Hwy and Trains.
Feb 07, 2017
The staff is awesome. The place is clean. We have enjoyed our 4 day stay. If we could give this KOA a 15 rating we would. We tell everyone we meet to stay here on their way East or West. Love this place. Maybe next year we will be able to stay a month if our schedule allows.

Very nice campground. Great showers. Nice sites.

This was a stay of convenience between Tucson and California, but, having been here, we would definitely return to take advantage of its access to desert trails, Casa Grande, etc. Very well maintained, well run.

Thank you.

We pulled bin late afternoon tired and hungry. Frankie's Chuckwagon was open. What a great steak. Chicken was good too! Service was very good. The campground was spacious and dog run was huge. We'll definetley stay here again.

We were traveling without a towd due to earlier problems. We picked this site because it advertised an onsite restaurant. When we got there, we found that the restaurant was closed; no towd to go find a place to eat.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I don't know how to respond to this comment except to say if you are not happy within the first hour you will receive a full refund and can find a park that meets your needs.

This facility needs more 50 amp sites and better Wi-Fi service

Lovely grounds, everything very clean and nice, staff very professional and friendly. The only problem is the highway noise. Probably nothing to be done about that but still difficult to listen to at night.

Our stay was a 10 after a very long day driving. Frankie's Chuckwagon was a lifesaver for dinner that night and the best steaks we have had in a long time. My husband's comment was that the showers were the best design he has seen and he really appreciated having plenty of hot water.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your nice comment. Please come back soon.

Loved the beautiful big cactus, The steak house is wonderful. The employes were warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed the hummingbird show, when we had dinner. We went out our way to visit again and we will be back. Frankie was a great and fun host.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Can't wait for your next visit.

Well run & clean, friendly staff
Jan 18, 2017
The campground is in a very non populated area and is not close to any commercialized area. The campground staff are very nice. But the campground was far from full and there wasn't alot to do in that area or in the campground. We did move to another KOA site to be closer to activities that we wanted to experience while in the Tucson area. Lost $$ due to rain check cancellation fee.

had a great time

Friendly and accommodating
Jan 16, 2017
I've driven by it a 100 times, never stayed. Will go out of my way to stay there from now on!! The chuck wagon style food was just great and the people couldn't have been nicer!!!
Jan 15, 2017
AWESOME dog park, at least 3 acres in size. Wi-Fi ONLY works at the clubhouse, we couldn't get it at our site at all. Some campers VERY friendly while some are quite grumpy. Staff was courteous and friendly, though seemed to lack local knowledge. Spot was pretty level. My only hesitation about the park is the grumpy people.
Jan 11, 2017
Clean, well kept, friendly management a little noisy due to the interstate but also easily accessible. Good restaurant
Jan 11, 2017
Extremely friendly camp hosts. Very nice site and campground. Absolutely wonderful dog run.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you please come again.
Jan 05, 2017
Nice sites ,well kept, only complaint would be the freeway and train noise

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We just don't know how to fix that. We are close to the interstate easy to get to us and to get back on I-10. Sorry your stay wasn't a great one.
Jan 05, 2017
Staff friendly. Cafe on site. Great dog park with agility equipment. We have two retired Agility Champions and they were so happy doing the obstacles. Only drawback is no TV CABLE hookup. We like to be able to get news and weather. We would stay there again. Going West bound was easy, but going Eastbound a little more difficult.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We don't have cable. We do however get over 50 stations on your tv antenna if you have one.
Jan 04, 2017
We made reservations as the website stated WIFI, Laundry, and heated pool. Laundry was only open on hours we were touring and not there, resulting in changing plans and remaining in camp for a day, pool heater was not turned on so no pool, WIFI only worked inside the building, which was closed when we were there, unless we changed schedule again. Outside "shed" was available, but WIFI didn't work
