Hot Springs SD / Black Hills KOA Holiday General Information

Check-in time: 1 pm for RV and Tent sites
                      2 pm for Cabins
Check-out time: 11 am for all stays. 

Early Check-ins will be allowed if sites are available for a small fee of  $15.
Late check-outs will be allowed for a small fee of $15/hr. However, if you leave after 1 pm, a full day will be applied. Please confirm your late check-out request with the office staff as soon as possible.

Pets love camping and we love pets!
Pets must be leashed and quiet at all times.
Do not leave pets unattended.
No aggressive or destructive dogs allowed.
Always clean up after your pet.

Camping Cabin: One time $15 pet fee per stay
Deluxe Cabin: One time $30 pet fee per stay
Cottage (Deluxe Cabin with full tub and shower): No pets allowed

Use the "Select My Site" feature if you want a specific site or to be next to someone you are traveling with. A $25 fee is applied per site per stay and is limited by availability. We cannot guarantee sites next to one another, so please use this option if you would like to be side by side. Our staff will do their best to put you next to your traveling companions, but we cannot guarantee side-by-side sites that do not use the "Select My Site" option. *Please note that this $25 fee will be added to any online reservations or phone reservations that are requesting to be next to someone.

Free WiFi is available throughout the campground.

***OUR CANCELLATION POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED***We understand that sometimes you need to alter or cancel your plans, and we want to accommodate those circumstances that may be out of your control. We are happy to refund your deposit, minus a $15 rebooking fee if you cancel with at least 48 hours or more notice before your reservation. Our staff offers a courtesy call to remind you of your upcoming stay in case you need to make any adjustments. After the 48 hour window, the deposit becomes non-refundable. If you cancel within the 48 hour window, you will be charged up to a 2 night stay but never to exceed your total reserved number of nights. No-show Policy: At close of business on the day of your reservation, you will be charged for your full stay if you have not already arrived. Your stay information will be included in our night box, and if you have not yet arrived by opening the next morning, your reservation will be canceled, with a refund of everything over a 2 night stay. For example: If you booked 1-2 nights and did not arrive, you will not receive a refund. If you booked 3+ nights, you will receive a refund for nights 3 and beyond.

Spring and Fall: 8 am - 10 am, 4 pm - 8 pm

No lifeguard on duty.

Fires are permitted at sites as long as there is not a burn ban in effect. Please check with the front desk if the ban is in effect. 
No out-of-state firewood allowed. 
Firewood is available for purchase at the front desk. 

Propane fire pits are allowed at any time.

Our campground is not equipped to handle the power draw from electric vehicles.
For guest safety and campground safety, electric vehicles may not be plugged in at any site in the campground.

Thad and I, along with our family, are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey and create a memorable camping experience for each and every one of our guests. Thad's passion for the outdoors and camping, combined with our dream of running a business that allows us to watch our children grow, makes this opportunity at KOA a perfect fit for us.

Our goal is to provide you with the best camping experience in the Black Hills, filled with adventure, relaxation, and cherished memories. As hands-on owners, you can expect to see us greeting guests, cutting firewood, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly at the campground.
