Campground Reviews

This was our first stay. Overall we really liked the campground. We booked a 30amp back-in space which were all level, had good space between campsites and nice mature trees to shade the summer sun. The "farm" onsite was fun to go and visit the animals. The pond, pool, playground, bathrooms were all nice. Only issue was highway noise but I wouldn't let it keep you away. Great place!

Nice staff. Clean cabin. Our kids liked the swimmingpool, mini golf and the animals. Store has nothing. Noise of highway wasn't too bad.

Liked the campground and the activities...my kids really enjoyed the patting farm. Only concern is the lack of signage when getting off the freeway showing where the KOA is located.

we requested a pull thru full hook up, the site we were in was not great. I think they had just had sewer put, in the ground around the campsite was torn up and there was red clay everywhere. our campsite was also next to a smelly sewer pump and they have a mini farm on the campgrounds, the chickens and roosters roamed around the campsite, annoying. Easy access to the highway but that is all.

Great, thanks. There was a bit of trash at the site when we got there. We left it clean.

It was a very noisy campground. We could hear the traffic from I-65 all night. It would have been helpful to have an escort to our campsite as it was confusing reading the numbers on the posts.

We had a very nice stay, very easy to get to different attractions. Our 8 month old son loved the pool, just wish there would have been no smoking allowed!

Too many people and vehicles in sites w/vehicles parked 1/2 on the road. 7/4 weekend 1 toilet in ladys room and 1 washing machine out of order. Womans rest room dirty. Many attended fire works sat.so sunday morning no toilet paper or towels in rest room. A very long walk to the dumpster. Bees in the wood marking off our site.

Location is beautiful, grounds well maintained. Negatives: very small store (not many supplies) and bathrooms were not well maintained (one stall out of order the entire stay, hand dryer out of order, out of paper towels, dirty floors).

it was ok. We did not get a great spot, which was part of the challenge. It was near where we wanted to be, so that helped a lot.

Nice place. Would stay again. Just hope it doesn't rain as much. I loved the sewer connectionm that most camps don't have

I think they are trying hard but our site was not level enough that we could dip the front of the trailer to make it level. They need more help with layout and construction. We had one of the newly constructed sites. The cuts should have been deeper at the top of site and the fill higher at the bottom. I hope they work to correct the problem as the location is great to visit Mammoth Cave.

IT WOULD MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IF YOU JUST HAD A DISHWASHING SINK LIKE ALL THE OTHER KOAS IN THE REST OF THE COUNTRY. ALSO IT WAS A SHAME THAT THE WINDOW WAS BOARDED UP WHICH BLOCKED THE VIEW.

It would be okay if you have a camper. If you are staying in a tent go somewhere else. The spot was not large enough for our tent. The spot was at the bottom of a runoff for the rain. We asked for some straw & got dry sweep that was not very effective.

We really liked the relaxed atmosphere of the camp grounds. Our grand kids loved the animals and were sad to leave the baby ducks and bunny. Thanks for a great weekend.

The kitchen was great with the large fridge. The cabin was not clean, especially the floor. It was mopped when requested. Is very convenient to Mammouth Cave.

The site was great. Could not hear I65 or the roosters. A campers sink would be a welcomed addition to your campground as there is no water at the cabin site. Changing the clanging door knob system to a round doorknob would also be a good thing. This door had to be lifted and holding that "knob" and lifting without making too much noise is impossible. I doubt kids can even open the door.

Relaxing. Great staff. Excellent accommodations.

We reserved a full hook up site for our travel trailer and was given a site that did not fit our camper. Then the dump station is on an angle so the tanks are not properly emptied. The pool is cloudy and seems to have not been cleaned. The site we were given was nice and it had a nice proximity to area attractions.

Camp ground and overall ementaties were clean. Just a few overall concerns though. Just outside the women's bathroom is dip or drop in the walkway where my wife rolled her ankle. And at some of the campsites, including ours the fire ring is too close to the railroad ties. The RR ties at my site must have got too hot at night and did catch fire which also took out my rope lights.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabins. Very well kept and clean. The only thing we didnt like was the chickens, ducks, and turkey from the barn below the hill were not fed at a proper time in the morning(One day it wasnt until after 11) and because of this they would swarm up to our cabins and walk around our area.Twice we had chickens on top of our picnic tables while we were trying to eat. Annoying.

Nice setting, very quiet and pretty!

The roads in the camp are very narrow. The 50 amp sites are terrible. They are not level. We could not level our unit no matter how many blocks we used without at least 1 wheel off the ground (which is not safe to do). The 30 amp sites were more level, but we could not run both air conditioners. The staff were very nice and moved us to a 30, but the camp in general is for suitable for big units
Jun 27, 2013
Great staff. Very helpful. Not a level site in the whole place.

The farm right behind our site wasnt on any picture representing this KOA Park. I am allergic to hay (I DID NOT choose to stay on a farm). The roosters chose to stand under our RV to wake us up EVERY morning at 4 AM as well as the donkey screamed a lot! Besides the farm not on the site map we had seen, the highway did not show as close as it was. The lack of trees, made the engine brakes audible.

Very upset. I planned on staying 3 nights with my family in a cabin. Roaches were every where, we could not stomach a night there. We packed up at dark and went to a hotel. The office at the koa was closed til the next morning. I was not reimbursed for the night we bugged out. I also had to pay more for a hotel. I could not get them on the phone to talk to a manager. Very disappointed.

We were put in a site along side the main camp road - we couldn't sit outside without eating dust everytime a car went by. Very poor layout. Dumpstation was also backwards. Had to leave to turn around and come back to get at it. Poor layout.

I wanted to pay cash and have the deposit taken off my credit card and office girl said she couldn't do it. Bathrooms broken and needed toilet paper.
Jun 23, 2013
Very nice campground, the staff was very freindly and helpful. We stayed in one of the full hookup pull thur sites and found that the site was not very level. Even with leveling blocks we could not get the camper level. This was the only thing we found to be a problem.
Jun 23, 2013
We have stayed in your camp before but not this year. We would drive by as your sites are very small for a 40 ft RV and tough to get in and out. We are 90% KOA campers
Jun 21, 2013
The staff was friendly. The tent site was grassy and flat. The facilities were clean, but the shower head didn't work very well. There was a lot of road noise throughout the night.

Nice facility, shady sites and a nice view. Staff very helpful. Restroom/shower facilities were spotless. Mapquest might get you lost; campground is right off the interstate at exit 58.
