Campground Reviews

Clean, nice spots. The owners have worked hard to make the KOA a nice place to stay.

I was only there for one night and it was fine

I am sure once the season starts this maybe a nice camp ground. They had several nice sites, so it really confused me why we were stuck on the side of a hill that was no way level, straight or big enough. We could never find the dumpster and staff was very scarce. Our hill/camp site faced the highway so we could enjoy every car, semi, ambulance, motorcycle and loud vehicles going by all night.

Clean close to the caves

Rural atmosphere was nice but we arrived right after a power outage. Had trouble getting the TV to work and although I asked for assistance, no one showed up. A pair of turkeys provided a "wake up" call in the morning! I was disappointed that we were put in a cabin that had serious gulley wash-out right in front of the entrance, even though other cabins were available. I have pictures.

We had a Deluxe Cabin and it was clean and comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in a covered wagon and it was perfect for our family of four. The view is stunning while sitting around the fire pit during the sunset. The bathroom were exceptionally clean and an easy walk. It was quiet and serene. The play area was excellent for our 4 year old twins. We will come back when the pools open for sure!

One of the nicest, if not the nicest campground I have ever been to.

Well kept and peaceful. Loved it.

The covered wagon was so fun. The view was great and close to rhe nice bathroom facility. It stormed really hard and we stayed dry. Staff were friendly. The only downside was the wagon want clean. The refrigerator was dirty. The keurig had old coffee kcup in it and the whole wagon needed sweeping. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

A very scenic and clean park, However, I requested a pull through site for a 43 ft. motorhome, towing a car. The site I was assigned was on a significant slope, and I had to detach my vehicle to enter the site because of the sharp turn required from the road. Also, no cable TV and could only get 4 educational stations with an antenna. I expected more for the $65 nightly fee.

Great restrooms. Nice hot shower. Cable would be nice. As koa workcampers we appreciate an excellent experience. Thank you.

Nice and clean cabin, but for deluxe accomodations a grill should be included at the cabin. The common area grills have seen better days. A few more kitchen items would have been nice: can opener, dish soap, coffee filters. But other than that great stay and nice location near Mammoth Cave and other sites.

Personnel very attentive to our needs. Public facilities are the best ever seen.Thank you very Michel.

Great, except, at spot 38 (and that whole roll) the concrete curb is so high that motorhomes' steps and levelers bottom out. We had to back in sideways to avoid bottoming out. Leaving, we actually stacked leveling pads out on the street to keep the front in up, long enough for the steps to clear the curb. Other than that, I give the park 100%. It is very well maintained & has friendly employees!

Uneven, gravel sites. Absolutely no TV reception. Was guaranteed pull through site at least 55 feet long. Was a pull through, but hung out in road on both ends by at least 1 foot. Not worth $62.00 per night.

Just passing through stopped in because it was off the highway and were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities, and the cleanliness of your KOA very pleased

The sweetest women working in the office - where there was hot coffee available! Extremely nice bathrooms / showers, plus there is a laundry unit. The only downside is the noise of the highway but you’re close to everything!

Lovely place. Great for families, beautifully kept property. They continually seem to be improving and adding. Kept fresh and updated. Wonderful bathrooms and showers. Tree houses look amazing, as well as Conestoga wagons too. Great walking places, mini golf, horse and ponies, pond (catch and release), turkies, lots of birds. Easy in and out. Only need is better laundry. Kind folks.

Had a great time, everyone was awesome and the wifi was great.

We only stayed overnight but pull thrus are definitely easy in and out. Bathrooms and showers were definitely clean, as were the camp ground itself.

Beautiful property and we were really entertained by the turkeys!! You talk to them and they answer back! (Knowing they were wanting a little snack, but very funny)!!! We would love to come back when we’re not just passing through!!

Staff was extremely pleasant, cheerful, and helpful. Site as well as entire campground was very clean. Can’t say enough good things about the restrooms. Loved the private rooms. Only negative and not worth taking away any stars, it’s close to interstate.

Clean campsites and shower/bathrooms. Close to everything.

Appears fairly new with excellent services. The lower level lots could be graded a bit more level. Enjoyed our stay

Only stayed one night heading south. Arrived after dark and nice folks at the front desk had agreed to tape our site info with a marked map on the door. Despite it being dark and rainy, once you figured out the locations of the site numbers it was easy to navigate. Everything worked and it was a quiet nights sleep.

Concrete. Level. Easy check in. Just an overnight stay. This is the 4th time that we have stayed at this KOA.

This was our first KOA stay and just perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the playground and we met some wonderful camping neighbors! Can’t wait to come back again.
Apr 09, 2023
It was just an overnight, but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

Had a wonderful stay. Employees were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back. The only suggestion is a little maintenance on the playground. Some of the equipment was not secured to the ground and some bolts were missing from the playground. Nothing major just minor repairs needed.

Great amenities if your aren't staying in your RV. We had to move from our first assigned site, as it was completely unsuitable. The second spot was better, but a pull thru right on the road and still not near level! Very few full hookups and the dump station is on the WRONG SIDE! If you stay in a cabin, or other non rv site, probably awesome...

Park was well kept up. Activity for the kids and grown ups to do. Staff was really good. Very nice park.
Apr 08, 2023
The pull thru sites slope 15” from front to back for our 34’ motorhome. I would have to put at least 13” inches of blocks to successfully level my rig. We stayed without putting our slides…..was not comfortable.

Nice campground overall, although we were disappointed with our site, being parallel to the road and too narrow to open the awning or even sit in front of the camper. However on a more serious note, something needs to be done with the dump station placement. You need to go the wrong way on the road to access it. Not to mention it's on a fairly steep hill.

We enjoyed our stay. The campground was clean, and the staff was friendly.

So much fun! We stayed in a treehouse that had all the modern comforts! Great location right off the interstate and located close to great restaurants and attractions.

Lovely campground. Deceiving photos. Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- $60/night Stayed 8 nights Site #87 Stayed here end of-Aug 2023. Pull-through 50 amp. FHU. ***Photos—Sites 84-93: The photos on their site are not accurate. There is only rocky gravel. No grass on the sites at all. See my photos.*** THE GOOD: -Sites: Very spacious sites. The sites in pull throughs near the barn are not level. Very high in front and need to adjust a good amount left to right. -Gas/restaurants/groceries: It is within 10 min of anything you might need. -Location: several caves to explore within 5 min. Mammoth Cave NP 20 min away. -Showers/Bathrooms: Great bathrooms / showers! Private with locking door. Full bathroom like you would have at home with nicely tiled walls. -Nice setting: The barn, fishing pond, and farm behind the campground make this campground really comfy. -Near interstate: Yes. Campground WiFi: -Really good and reliable (for campground wifi) during our stay. Cell/hotspot using booster: -AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G) -Verizon (2 of 4 bars—5G) Note: Cell service is unstable and drops often. Still works. Just helpful to know ahead of time.

AWESOME restroom and showers! Sonia was very friendly! Campground was easy to access, had a great view. Day trips to caves and surrounding areas not more than an hour. Would definitely stay there again! Looks like they are expanding. Glad to see it.
