General Campground Information
We want you, our Guests, to have the most amazing camping experience of your lives! Relax, have fun, stay safe, and enjoy camping at its best.
Fort Collins Lakeside KOA is open year round and our office hours change with the seasons. Peak season: 7:30am - 10pm MST. Shoulder season: 8:00am-8:00pm MST. Off-season: 9:00am-6:00pm MST.
For the safety and security of all our guests, please note the following change: As of May 1, 2014 all visitors going past the Main Office must be paid guests. Even if your visitors will only be staying at your site for a few minutes, and even if they will not be using any of the facilities, each person must pay the extra person fee of $10.00, which will entitle them to use all of the facilities. Parking will be provided for these visitors, but they will be unable to park at your site. Under no circumstances will visitors be allowed to bring pets onto the property. All visitors must depart the property by 9:00pm. If your visitors are just picking you up at the campground, you are welcome to meet them at the Main Office. The visitors will not be charged so long as they do not go past the Main Office. Note that you are responsible for ensuring your visitors follow all park rules. Person site maximums include registered guests & their visitors and may not be exceeded.
Site maximums - people allowed per site
For the safety and security of all guests, all sites have a maximum load. For tent sites, 1 room cabins & cottages - the maximum is 4 people. For all other sites, the maximum is 6 people. Please note that this maximum includes registered guests AND any visitors you invite.
Firewood & Fire policy
We sell firewood at the main office. We follow the policy of the Larimer County Sheriff's department and any bans they may institute during the summer based on drought conditions. When fires are allowed, they must be contained in a grill (a grill is provided at every site) or an elevated fire ring which can be rented at the main office. NO OPEN FIRES ARE ALLOWED AT ANY TIME.
Check-in, check-out times and late check-outs
Check-in time for regular RV sites & tent sites is 1:00 pm. Check-in time for all lodging (cabins, cottages & lodges) and hot tub sites is 4:00 pm. We do not allow early check-ins May 1 - September 30. Check-out time for all sites is 11:00 am. We no longer allow late check-outs May 1 - September 30.
We accept all four major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), debit cards that have the symbol of one of the four major credit cards, and cash. We do not accept travelers' checks, personal checks or business checks. Please note we do not have an ATM on site and cannot issue cash to anyone off of their debit cards.
Our swimming and wading pool dates are May 22, 2015 - September 7, 2015. The pools are open from 10am - 9pm MST. Note that for the safety of all our guests - the pool will be closed during all thunder and/or lightening storms.
Our KOA is in a dry area and we have a sprinkler system that runs nightly during peak season. Sprinklers run between 10:30pm - 7:00am MST from May - September. Please bring in any items you do not want to get wet. All items that require a stake being driven into the grass are prohibited due to the sprinkler system. Do not park on the grass or drive over sprinkler heads. Mats are not allowed on the grass.
Parking of extra vehicles or trailers
For the safety and security of all of our guests, please note the following: If you are staying on a back-in RV site, at a tent site or a 1 room cabin, you can park 1 car or regular sized truck at your site. If you are staying on a pull-thru RV site, a 2 room cabin, cottage or lodge, you can park 2 cars or regular sized trucks at your site. Due to the lack of extra parking available at our campground, please do not bring extra vehicles, moving vans, trailers, boats etc. with you to the park because there will not be room for them at your site. We have a limited number of extra parking spaces available for a $ charge on a first come, first serve basis.
Cats and dogs are members of your family and usually come camping with you. In order for all our guests to feel safe, pets must be on a 6 ft. or shorter leash when outside your RV, tent or lodging. Dog fences and kennels are not allowed on any site. Do not leave your pet unattended. Pick up after your pet. Doggie bags are located throughout the campground for your use. Aggressive and loud pets of any kind are not allowed. Per insurance, we cannot host the following breeds of dog: Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and Dobermans. There will be a charge for pets in all lodging. No more than 2 pets are allowed on any site. Dog and cat boarding facilities are located in the area.
Tents are permitted on tent sites only. RV's and tent trailers are not permitted on tent sites or at the cabins. Management approval is required for screen rooms.
Please put your trash out in front of your site between 8-10am so the campground staff can pick it up for you. All trash must be in a secure box or trash bag. After 10am, please locate a dumpster on the site map and place your trash in the dumpster. Please do not leave trash out overnight - we have raccoons that patrol the area.
