Tent Reviews

A very crowded campground. We had a Pickup camper so we got shoved into a corner between a tenter and a cabin. the hookups were on the wrong side but the owner loaned us an electrical extention cord.

Very friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Needed to leave early and instantly refunded my $. Will stay again.

We stayed in the tent area as we needed no hook-ups even though we were in a slide in camper. A bit to high which meant we hit a tree branch and poked a hole in a roof top carrier. Owner said he would not cut branches. Besides being in a very nice location there was a nice young lady who checked us in for the first night stay. She was helpful, smart and courteous. KEEP HER!!

The showers and bathrooms were very clean. We had a few hick-ups with our cooking stove and they had all you can eat pancakes for $5.00 that included drink and sausage. They also had ice cream and a little ride for the kids. By far the best KOA I have ever been too. They are very nice and helpful and stock anything you might need like extra firewood.

Facilities very clean and friendly staff. Kids really liked the train and ice cream night. Only knock was quiet hours need to be enforced. First night we had some people in a cabin drinking and being noisy all night.

The KOA itself was very nice, and the staff were *very* friendly, welcoming and helpful. The price however was $30/night for a non-electric tent site which is about 3 times more than I've ever spent at a KOA, and the tent sites are right next to the highway which was noisy all night. Compared to camping in RMNP, the price is lower and has full bathrooms.

Jim and his wife are excellent, knowledgeable and caring property owners. They made me feel important and comfortable. They have an excellent supporting staff, not to mention the fantastic ice cream social on Saturday evenings and the awesome pancake breakfast on Sunday mornings! Finally, their campground is impeccable and the facilities are extremely clean, well lit and well maintained. A++.

Nice people, but one of most crowded KOA's we've been out. What was bad, however, was their falsely advertising a shuttle into town (1 1/2 miles uphill from there). It was one of the reasons we stayed there, as Estes Park is at 6000' and air is thin. They stop the shuttle Labor Day. We walked it, both wife and I got altitude sickness, and taxi back cost $12.00. Never again!

The KOA golf carts going back and forth seemed excessive, distracting and un necessary

Everything was very clean and well-kept. This KOA was very nice and an enjoyable stay. We'll definitely keep it in mind for future visits. Thank you, Estes Park KOA!

The site is nice. The tent sites are all separated by a little fence, which is great. We had dogs with us, it's dog friendly with a fenced in dog park and a pet relief area. The port o potties were surprisingly clean and the showers and bathrooms are nice. The staff, though, not friendly. There were multiple people in our party who arrived on different days....all greeted with the same attitude

Staff was friendly and campground and facilities were clean and well kept. Did not appreciate the showers (doors did not provide adequate privacy). Understand that the women's showers suffered from the same OVER exposure.

The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and fun. Campground area/bathrooms/showers were very clean. The KOA karaoke and bingo activities were fun. I will definitely be back with my family and highly recommend to others.

I rented a tent site and was able to sleep very well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom and showers.

What happened to koa standards? The very nice lady who I spoke with on the phone said she was proud of the cleanliness even though it was an older camp. The showers in the ladies room were disgusting. stained, the floors patched up and so small they must have come off an airplane! If you dropped your soap you certainly would not be able to bend over to pick it up! Peeling paint, black mold.

Very friendly staff who also kept the restrooms and showers very clean...

A campground with hot showers and bathrooms. Tentsite was close to crowded highway. Slept well anyway. Management was friendly. (Free) showers - bathroom was older but wel kept. Close to RMNP and Estes Park. Would certainly stay here again.

Tent sites were all rocky, no room between sites. Not a typical KOA campground. It was not worth the money.

Very clean. Would stay there again.

The staff is wonderful! They made our 3 night stay that much more pleasant. We stayed 1 night in a cabin & 2 nights at a tent/electric site. We got lucky with the huge site we were given, but the other tent sites were really small (we felt bad for the other people there). FYI the traffic noise is LOUD.

I choose KOA when I want to camp alone or with my children.I have always had a safe enjoyable experience.

Very friendly neat and clean KOA. Loved the hot showers after hiking all day!!

We were tent camping. Some of the tent sites looked small, but ours was huge. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean place. Not much for kids to do there, but we went for the hiking so it didn't matter to us. Pretty quiet at night. We would go there again, but next time would get a cabin.

Very clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Multiple things wrong. 1. We were literally 10 ft from the porta-jons. Talk about smelly. 2. The tent spot next to us had so many ppl that they parked infront of our spot. 3. Dogs were on the loose (from the spot next to ours) and they came over to out tent and did their business. 4. The highway is right there so it's always loud. But, the employees were nice and my kids loved the train rid

Staff was friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. I do not recommend tent camping, the lots are very cramped, you practically sleep with your neighbor. No privacy. The tent spots are located along side the road, so it makes for a very noisy night of sleeping- if you can sleep.
Aug 17, 2014
For the most part, really friendly staff. Appreciated the private bathrooms. A KOA is usually a treat to stay at, but this is the worst one I've been to for tent camping. There are 0 grass sites which means we slept on gravel, right next to the freeway. There was no personal firepit and the sites were so small, our tent stakes overlapped with the next site
Aug 15, 2014
Inadequate parking. Campers next door walked through my space as theri tent was too large for their area.
Aug 13, 2014
Amazing staff! We loved the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Great place to camp in Estes Park.
Aug 13, 2014
KOA was very clean, people were very helpful, and the view is great!

Clean accomadations. Loved the store and special events. It was a great stay! Thank you!

It was great. Very clean friendly people and everything was a reasonable price. We had a great time and would do it all over again A++++
Aug 11, 2014
Pancake breakfast and ice cream social! Very safe ace for kids and enough activities to keep them occupied between family outings. The only negative was the traffic noise being so close to the main road but it was solved with ear plugs and exhausting events. Very very clean and friendly! Accessible to downtown Estes, Lake Estes, and Adventure Parks! WIN WIN!

The map is very deceiving on how large the tent spaces were. I've never been to a KOA where the campgrounds were on top of each other. The horse manure smell is terrible. The only saving grace is that pancake breakfast, (which was awesome by the way)

We were on a motorcycle. Spot T-14 was perfect for our tent and bike. Good breakfast too! Will stop in again.
