The only improvement would be to make it a “dark sky” campground or ask campers to turn off their outside lights at night. I had to close my bedroom shades because of the lights in my face. Some campers say it keeps rodents away but the most obnoxious lights are the “decorative” ones. But I will be back to this wonderful campground!

Gorgeous area! Friendly staff and an immaculate shower/restroom. No sewer hookups but they offered a reasonably priced honey wagon service.

We had a great time. The river side tent site was lovely with sunshine in the morning greeting us during breakfast. The bathrooms are very clean with hot water and very good showers. Also the outside sink with hot water to do the dishes was great. Overall the campground is very neat and tidy and with all the trees and the view on the river a pleasure to stay.

Carbondale was one of the most beautiful and serene places I’ve ever been! Simply amazing! And the people were also so friendly! Thank you for a wonderful stay! It was very sad to leave!

Good: Staff was top notch. Our site was pretty level. Not so: Ingress and egress pretty tight. Dump station only, no sewer at site.

This is my third time staying here! The property is beautiful by the river. All the facilities are very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Will be back again.

Beautiful riverside cabin. Wonderful amenities for the kiddos. Nice fenced dog are for the pup. Very friendly and helpful staff. I’ll be back.

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of a long trip. It was very nice with the river being right there and the treed sites and bike trail were nice. The pool wasn't great but it was good enough.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the campground was very well maintained, all the services were in excellent working order. This campground earned their perfect score!

The staff were very friendly and helpful! Our site was clean. We were disappointed that both the pool and sauna were not working, those were 2 amenities we wanted to use after hiking in the mountains. We stayed at their sister site the 2 previous nights the pool and hot tub was also closed. We felt a discount should have been offered.

Excellent, clean campground. Friendly hosts. It has clean bathrooms, a sink just to wash dishes in and the campground is right on the Crystal River.

This Crystal River KOA is AMAZING! The staff members (especially Dennis and Louise) are one of the best I've ever come across and the grounds are kept up to nothing less than pristine.

May 26th 2023. This camp ground is very well designed for space and privacy nestled next to the Crystal River. Although highway 133 is right next to it, after dark few cars were using this route, so it was very quiet. Bike path runs all the way to Carbondale. Bathrooms we're very clean and the staff could be seen every morning preparing each site for newcomers.

The cabin was well equipped and very clean. The staff was very welcoming and helped us after hours when we didn’t realize we had booked a cabin without linens. Great experience - we enjoyed it so much that we are visiting again next weekend!

The views are amazing and the sound of the river was peaceful despite it flowing pretty good. The only thing we didn’t love was the sound of the traffic from the road. I think the closer your are to the river the less likely you would hear the traffic. Otherwise everyone was very nice and we would definitely come back!

Convenient to Carbondale or Redstone; nice view of Mt Sopris & right next to the beautiful Crystal River. Well appointed cabin! Loved having a campfire & being so close to the bike/walking path.

This place is amazing!! So clean, and great location. We don't normally stay in campgrounds, mostly boondock, but this was perfect for our stay in the area for a Lacrosse Tournament in Basalt.

It was perfect. Grounds very nice. Met & made new friends as well as getting together with family. My only suggestion would be to clarify that free honey wagon is “only after” 5 days, not just if you were staying 5 days. Website definitely not clear.

This is my 5th time staying at this particular KOA. I love this campground and can’t wait until my next visit. I especially like the improvements to the shower house!

This KOA was amazing. Location, cabins, host all great. Arrived with some snow and still got a great tour of the campgrounds. We stayed right next to the river with a view of mountains as soon as you walk out.

Overall good stay, clean, and friendly staff. BUT we went to leave on the closing date and water was shut off so couldn't flush out the tank.
