Started the camping year early and went there May 3rd . We now are up to four times a year planned! Great owners. Getting to them well and they work very hard to have a top campground. Laughs and fun!!! Ice cream, a cafe, and now pizza~

We always stay here when we come to the finger lakes. We were not happy with our site this time. It was a small site and muddy. So we were tracking mud in the camper all weekend. Campground was not full & there were plenty of open & nicer sites with grass. Sewer hookup on one side & electric/water hookups on the other at the opposite end of the camper. Will look for another campground next trip.

Pulling in and leveling was great. Campers are very close to each other. Staff is nice. Question: Why ask if the person has pets when non-pet people are put next to people with barking dogs. Had to smell dog poop while sitting at the campfire and stepped in poop while setting up. Hamlin Beach Campground is split into areas of pets and no pets, if not separated, why I'm asked if I have a pet?

We were just there overnight. One of the men that helped us park noticed that we were missing a sway bar. He directed us to a local business who came out that evening and put a new tow package on. Everyone was super helpful.

The best KOA. Owners were great!! Helped me on several occasions with issues on my rig. Made it a fun place to be. Laundry room is nice. Bathrooms, OMG, the best! Clean and private. Shower and do your business in your own private bathroom. Will be back next year.

This was our first trip with our first camper and we were so happy with our experience! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everything was made so easy for us! Our site was perfect! We had our grandchildren overnight one of the nights and they had a blast! There was so much for them to do. We will definitely be back! Not sure how our other trips will be when we had the best first!

We love this KOA! It is very family friendly, and the staff are all extremely helpful. The bathroom facilities are updated and very clean. The pool is new and beautiful with plenty of seating, and there are always many activities happening on the weekends. We will definitely keep coming back to this KOA!

We love this KOA! It is our go to for camping. My kids love all of the activities available. This time they tried the gem mining and loved it. It is a great additional activity for the kids. We also tried the new Hunt's Brothers pizza and it was delicious. We are making so many camping memories at this KOA, and it is because you have such a great staff. We look forward to coming back soon!

The owners of this park are fabulous and every year we come there are new additions that add to the value of the park. Everything is always very well kept and neat. They are one of the firsts parks to open in the Spring which is a wonderful asset for us snowbirds. There is so much for people to do here that boredom should never be a problem for anyone. We deeply grateful for this park.

One of the best KOA experiences we've had. Roomy FHU sites (with a patio), easy park navigation and plenty to keep the kids occupied, even on not so nice days. This one stays on the list for what will likely be many future visits.

Grass/turf in between sites was MUD. Need better turf or drainage or whatever. Also, your dog policy sucks - no “aggressive breeds” is basically racist discrimination. You can have a “no aggressive dogs” policy without naming specific breeds. Didn’t bring my dogs this trip but I have two bullies who love everyone and are not aggressive. That policy means I will never return.

You were camping in early April & had a nice dry patio in front of your RV. The grass will be wet anywhere after 4"+ rain & cold weather. Our dog policy is due to insurance requirements, we don't allow pit-bulls, rottweilers, Dobermans, & any other dogs that are aggressive. Happy Kamping.

This campground was great and my spot had decent space with a view of the pond. I was here for an overnight stay and it was perfect, but I’d stay longer given the chance in the future. There are some low-lying areas that were pretty wet, but I’d bet that improves as it gets warmer.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a last minute weather delay and they were very understanding. Beautiful campground with great play areas for the kids. Definitely recommend staying here, we hope to be back again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Canandaigua. The weather didn't cooperate for the eclipse, but the new friends we made and old friends we saw were worth the trip. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and made sure everyone was taken care of.

Spent the week with you to see the eclipse April 8! Did a lot of local sightseeing! Watkins Glen, Auburn, Sewell house, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Eastman Museum, Strong Play Museum!!!! Quiet and clean place you have. We will be back again someday. Schedule another Eclipse. we love Moon pies and Sun chips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay. The weather was rainy. We camp at the Canandaigua KOA every year. The owners, Jon and Dottie, are terrific and ready to assist with anything you need. Thank you for another fantastic visit. All RV systems are ready for another great camping season. See you again next year if not before.

This is the second time we stayed here and it's fantastic. The staff is super friendly and ready to take care of you whenever you need it. The campground also has everything you would be looking for - arcade, playgrounds, basketball/pickleball, cafe, office, pool for the summer, etc. It's also a great location in being close to the finger lakes, while also a relatively short drive to Rochester.

Staff was so welcoming and helpful. WE had booked a pull thru site, but were offered a back end one with a grassy surface for our tent which was much better. The couple that ran the cafe were so friendly and caring.

Highly recommend this campground. We've stayed here twice now and both times were great. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The facilities are great too, anything you would want for both adults and kids. We would stay here anytime we're looking for a place in the area.

Updating my review to include the new Hunt's Pizza offering in the Cafe. It's a great addition and very tasty, they have a thin crust option which is perfect and a very good breakfast pizza! The pizza/wings only take about 6-7 minutes to cook and taste very fresh. Nice to have this on-site and not have to drive or wait an hour for delivery, saves gas and time! I've stayed at hundreds campgrounds and KOA's over the past 30 years and this is by far my favorite, it's a gem in the camping world. The facilities and grounds are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The campground is a nice size, everything is within walking distance. They installed a huge new pool this year and it is fantastic! The staff is all friendly, family owned and the workers appear to be campers themselves. I've always had positive interactions and it's impressive how much staff is around to help. They are very upbeat and make you feel good with every interaction. The 10 pm quite hour is enforced and staff patrol around the clock to maintain quite and help with anything you might need. The camp store is well supplied with goodies and camping essentials in case you need something critical ( I seem to every trip!). The pond is really nice and I always see people enjoying the fishing and boats. They have a Cafe with great pancake breakfasts (the blueberry pancakes are fantastic!). They also have pizza, burgers, ect. We especially love the fresh fries and onion rings, we usually grab some to have with whatever we might be grilling at the site. Probably the most family friendly campground we've been to. While my wife and I were playing bingo there was a group of kids and family playing kickball in a field and a bunch of kids jumping on some giant pillow thing, nice to see so many people having fun, even during these trying times. This is the only Campground where I've been able to get a solid wifi connection, important for me as I can do a work zoom meeting remotely. We were also able to stream directly to our smart tv from our home services. No need for cable or a satellite! There is a lot to do in the area, horse track and casino less than 5 miles away and a water park nearby. This is a great place to stay while touring the local wineries or going to Watkins Glen (I've stayed at the KOA in Watkins, it is huge and the most expensive one I've stayed at in the Northeast). I wish I had discovered this KOA years ago, it's a perfect escape from home (Syracuse NY) and less than an hour away if my wife is driving :). I recently read that RV sales are up 30% this year, last time that happened was 9/11. Campgrounds booked very quickly and I'm certain that'll happen again. I'd book a year in advance if you can't get in now, I learned the hard way. This is a great place to book a Monday-Friday if you can't get in a full week. Enjoy your stay, it's hard not to! Ps. Don't miss the Happy Camper Breakfast in the cafe!
