Welcome Message

Open April 20 - October 22

We look forward to welcoming you to our special 'multi-versary' celebration in 2012. See details under EVENTS and CAMPGROUND NEWS.

Guests describe this campground as peaceful, friendly, super clean, a good value, convenient, and in an area with much to do. Such comments have supported the park earning the KOA President’s and Founder’s awards five years in a row. All of the spacious RV sites are pull-through and tent/small camper sites are pull or back in. All have free cable (70+ channels) and at site Wi-Fi and most have a mature shade tree. Lodging includes five sweet cabins with bathrooms, cable-TV, refrigerators, one superior log cabin, with cable-TV and refrigerator, and a fully equipped 38’long rental trailer. Check out our great Hot Deals that vary by the season for the best value.
While here, enjoy the swimming pool, multiple playgrounds (two for humans, one for pets), game room, and free planned events like ice cream socials, outdoor movies, and kids’ games. Walk next door to the farm stand for fresh vegetables, baked goods, and flowers. Hiking trails are a short walk from the campground.
Venture out for nearby river or mountain recreation including kayaking, tubing, swimming, hiking and biking. Share in the thrill of the Alpine Slide and Zip Rider at Bromley Sun Mountain Adventure Park. Find your heart’s desire in a funky downtown Brattleboro shop or Putney artist’s studio or check out famous stores such as Basketville, the Vermont Country Store, and the new Kringle Candle complex. Celebrate the visual and performing arts and sustainable agriculture in Brattleboro and at local festivals. Enjoy the beauty of the Green Mountains, the pace of the quaint villages, and of course, the variety of covered bridges that span our clear rivers and streams.

As always, the two-day event is held over Memorial Day weekend, this year on May 26th and 27th. Visitors will be able to learn how art and craft is made at the studios of glass blowers, jewelers, printmakers, potters, furniture makers, weavers, ironworkers, painters, sculptors, quilt makers and wood carvers. Many galleries will also host gallery talks and feature special exhibits in conjunction with Vermont Open Studio Weekend.

Strolling Of the Heifers Parade and Festival Photo Strolling Of the Heifers Parade and Festival Brattleboro June 1-3, 2012

Stroll Weekend is filled with fun and education for the whole family, built around the world-famous agriculturally-themed Strolling of the Heifers Parade — Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. sharp on Brattleboro’s historic Main Street.

Watch scores of lovable heifer calves led by future farmers, followed by many other farm animals, bands, tractors, floats, clowns and much more. When it’s over, follow the crowd to our all-day 11-acre Live Green Expo for food, music, dance, demonstrations, exhibits and fun, all related to our mission of sustaining family farms by connecting people with healthy local food.

Vintage Camper and Tiny House Rally featuring the COMET Camper Project July 20-22

Calling all vintage campers/converted vans/gypsy caravans/custom buses/unique mobile dwellings for a great weekend, including a rate of 50% off the second day. Enthusiasts are also welcome!
Our special guest is Mariah Coz and her mobile classroom, the COMET Camper Project. "The COMET (Cost-effective, Off-grid Mobile Eco Trailer) is an exercise in sustainability and small space living. It is an educational tool for children and adults alike. It is a DIY guide for others wanting to pare down and have little to no negative impact on the environment, other humans, and themselves. She is a preservation of incredible design of the past meshed with the essential design of the future." Mariah is a featured speaker at this year's Tumbleweed Tiny House Design/Build workshop in Boston.
