Meet Your Hosts
"It's camping season!"
Back in 2000, Pat Childers and her husband took a three month vacation to travel around the United States. Little did they know, that trip would completely change their lives! When the vacation was done, they decided life in the corporate work world was just not appealing any longer. They quit their 9-5 jobs, moved into their RV and became work campers. After their first work camping experience, they decided they really wanted to manage a campground and were lucky enough to find positions with a great KOA owner, where they could soak up knowledge and learn all of the facets of the ever-changing job of running a campground.
Pat’s husband has since retired completely, and spends his time golfing and riding his motorcycle. In 2012, Pat tried that as well, but she simply missed her guests and her work too much. Now she’s back doing what she loves – managing the Boston / Cape Cod KOA, and working to make your camping experience the best it can be.
What’s Pat’s favorite thing to hear? Her guests saying “I’ll be back and I’ll bring my friends!”
