Campground Reviews

This KOA could use some TLC. Things are getting old and out dated. With freeway traffic and train it's not to pleasant

The campground was alright but older with fewer amenities. The table, fire pit and grill were good. The lots are narrow. It is located next to the freeway with trees to protect the view shed. They provided earplugs, which helped when the train came through. It was pretty loud. It is perfect for an overnight stop and convenient. The staff is great and the place is clean.

Very well kept grounds, large clean bathroom/shower rooms. Overall a lovely overnight stay.

Nice RV park meeting our needs during our trip up to Glacier. The park is well kept and in a great location for those passing on through Montana. Will stay again and recommend for this purpose to friends and family.

Nice place, quiet, friendly folks good facilities. AC in my cabin was great during the heat wave! Cabin was around other cabins and sites but was still quiet and peaceful with large trees around. Very nice and made me wish I was staying more than one night. Of course it was clean and neat - its a KOA. Store was newly renovated and great with some unusual things to buy - grandkids loved pens.

It's a beautiful area, and the cabin was amazing. The only downfall was the bed...it was either extremely worn out or there was no support from the frame in the middle. Either way, it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on for 2 people, so one of us slept on the couch during our stay. That was the only issue that caused the 3 stars, and we hope to come back, but only if the bed issue is fixed.

Love this KOA. The trains and highway may bother some, but I sleep quite well here. Nice area for kids too!

We were only there for 1 night and had no problems. There were trains coming by but we didn't even notice them after we buttoned up for the night. The people in the office were very nice and courteous. Not a good cell signal for Verizon.

We had the best time at the Big Timber KOA. It's got many amenities for our kids and it was a short drive to the cozy town of Big Timber(check out the bakery) and the Greycliff Mill. We experienced a very unfortunate camper mishap and the staff and management of the camp ground were quick to help anyway they could. It's a small cozy KOA packed with big heart, we highly recommend a stay here!

The park was very cozy and well kept. We had a nice large site with a tree for shade. I’m giving the park 4-stars because it was a perfect one night stop with friendly staff. However, the trains that go by are no joke! There is nothing they can do about this, but it is worth noting because they sure kept me awake all night blowing their horns at the crossing.

Like coming home! A warm welcome, great amenities, and wonderful improvements.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin. It surprised and delighted us at every turn. Outlets and lights in all the right places. Adorable swing on the front porch. Private and tucked into the trees. Friendly staff. We will definitely return whenever we come back through town.

It was a convenient stop-over. Some large beautiful trees, as advertised. But the trains are very loud and very close...and run throughout the night. Bathrooms were good, overall, just not very close. Showers had decent privacy unlike many KOAs.

Unfriendly check in. Old needs upgrades

Loved the pool, staff very helpful, and I was able to cook my pizza right in the office/ store!

Way to noisy with the trains for getting a good night sleep.

Only there one night but found the staff super helpful. Very clean with many amenities. A great campground for children.

Please fix the large rut at top of drive where enters the road. To large and torques vehicle as you cross. Thank you

Dirty and run-down. Unfriendly staff. Sites are too close to the highway and train tracks.

Not all GPS can find it. Use the directions on the website

Good place to stay for an overnight but I wouldn't stay much longer than that. Staff was nice but just not what we would expect from a KOA. Yes, the train was loud and we could hear the trucks on the highway, which is somewhat normal in a campground. Not really sure what it was but we just we not at all impressed and left the following day. Our initial reservation was for 4 or 5 nights.

Wifi needs improvement.

Having stayed here previously was disappointed in how the grounds looked. Areas needed mowing and others needed water badly. People were driving thru the campground too fast. It seemed like there was no "law & order". Campsite next to us had 6 dogs.... yes 6 dogs, really?!

Twice, I was in the office, and there was no one there. Campground was clean, bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Our dog loved everything.

Great pad for the tent and parking the motorcycle was easy. The huge trees provided great shade! Approach/exit to the street was a bit loose gravel.

Very unkempt. Below Koa’s normal standards. Would not stay again.

We were very happy with our stay here. So relaxing, and lots for the kids to do. The traffic noise and the train were the only minuses of the stay.

Exceptional staff. Very loud at night due to train horns and trucks using their jake brakes adjacent to the campground.Cute check in, store, and game room. Good stop for families with exhausted kids who sleep through anything.

Staff friendly and helpful. Everything worked out well for our overnight stay. Park needs some tree pruning for taller big rigs. Staff member that helped us to change site due to tree limbs agreed.

The outside of our Kabin was dirty with litter all around it; there were a dozen cigarette butts at the base of the BBQ grill and garbage in the grill itself. The large open dumpster (it did not have a cover) on the grounds was piled high and overflowing with garbage as if it hadn't been emptied in weeks. The sweeping end of the broom in the Kabin was missing more than half its straw, useless.

Would never recommend staying here because of combined road and train noise. However it was priced cheaper than most KOAs.

Very noisy locale due to hwy noise and trains passing and blowing horns all through the night. Not the fault of the campground I realize but price is too high for the location.

Good park, but located right next to I-90 and the railroad tracks. Can be a bit noisy at night.

Good stoop for a night. We didn't get to partake in much while there, just stopped for one night. Nice little place. Looks like they had other amenities like a water slide, etc at one time. Fairly easy getting in and out with a larger trailer. People in 5th wheel across from us had bright accent lighting shining all night. Would have been nice if someone at the park was monitoring that.

Great park, HORRIBLE WIFI
Aug 31, 2022
The address you have listed takes you out in the middle of nowhere 12 miles west of where the campground is. It should say 693 E. Hwy. 10, GREYCLIFF instead of 693 Hwy 10, Big Timber. And the lady checking us in was very argumentative. Said the website tells people not to use GPS when I saw not one word about that. She also gave us a lot that was not big enough and said it was my fault.

Not to the standards that we expect from KOA. Very rough to get into and out of the park. However the staff was very nice.

Fun place!

Nice place with good people running things. Clean facilities, great store. Not a large park, but big rigs managed well. There is a nearby train track that people complain about, but was no bother to us at all. Water pressure was a bit low at times due to watering grass. Central to Yellowstone River and Boulder River,, Big Timber and the Crazy Mts. Would stay here again.

Great campground, friendly staff, good facilities. The spots are small and close to each other, but with enough space to set everything up, also have trees to provide some shade when needed. It has K9 camp, playground, laundry, bathroom was neat and clean. The free coffee is a nice touch. 😍 We had a smooth booking using the app and a easy late night check-in. It's super close to the highway, so it can be a bit noisy for those who are light sleepers.

Welcome was great, efficient and friendly. Spot /area clean and level. Store was a little low on stock but still good variety. We bought hotdogs and buns for chili dogs! Yes we heard a train but it didn't wake us or anything. We run a small fan at night so that provides a great white noise background. We recommend this campground and would stay again.
