You'll know this campground is special from the minute you drive through the entrance. Charlie, the resident alligator, is on hand to greet you! The alligator is part of KOA's own zoo. Come see the fauna and the area's flora too. Nearby Magnolia Plantation and Middleton Place Plantation feature beautiful gardens. Attractions abound in lovely Charleston with horse-drawn carriages clip-clopping along the historic harbor. Tour Fort Sumter National Monument, where the Civil War began, and the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. Bring a group-the campground has a great recreation building with full kitchen and meeting facilities-and your hosts will arrange a guided tour that begins right here.
