2010 Theme Weekends

In addition to our special theme weekends, the Newburgh/New York City North KOA is pleased to offer many daily activities including: arts & crafts, hay rides, fire truck rides, movies, games, group campfires, and so much more.
All activities are subject to chance without prior notice.

March 26-28: Welcome Back Weekend

Come and get it! We know you've been waiting. Join us for the opening weekend and kick off the camping season.

April 2-4: Easter Weekend

Celebrate with us all the colors of Spring. There will be an egg hunt and even a visit from the Easter Bunny.

May 7-9: Mother's Day Weekend

Celebrate Mom! Make a Mother's Day present and let Mom know how special she is to you.

May 14-16: Come Camp with Us Weekend

Camp for a cause; join us in special fundraising events that will directly benefit KOA Care Camps.

May 21-23: Fishing Derby Weekend

You're favorite fishing derby is back. This family fun weekend will bring out the angler in everyone.

May 28-31: Memorial Day Weekend

Live entertainment along with fun games and activities for the whole family all weekend. Also, be the first to take a jump in the pool.

June 4-6: Family Game Night Weekend

Challenge the Family with classic board games. Gather around and see who wins.

June 11-13: Sports Super Fan Weekend

Enjoy sports excitement all weekend and support your favorite team. Wear your team colors or special jersey.

June 18-20: Father's Day Weekend

Our Salute to Days includes entertainment for all ages. Come see what we have in store.

June 25-27: Wizards Weekend

Potions and spells see what we have in store for the magical weekend.

July 2-5: Independence Day Weekend

Red, White, and You! Celebrate with us an All-American Party Weekend! There will be live entertainment and fun for everyone.

July 9-11: Chocolate Madness Weekend

Slide down our chocolate slip-n-slide and see what other creative ways we can use chocolate for fun and games.

July 16-18: Fear Factor Weekend

Challenges with ooze and goop with make you think twice. Is fear a factor for you?

July 23-25: Christmas in July Weekend

Why wait for December? Join us in Holiday Celebration. You better be good, because Santa might be stopping in!

July 30-August 1: Fairy Tale Weekend

Once upon a time there was a fanciful celebration. Meet our fairy tale characters and enjoys whimsical games.

August 6-8: Beach Party Weekend

Everybody's going surfin' at the KOA. Splash into our awesome pool party and enjoy the hot summer with a sand castle competition.

August 13-15: Carnival Spectacular Weekend

Another summer favorite, come and play our classic carnival games with prizes for everyone.

August 20-22: Hoe Down Weekend

Put your cowboy boots on and doece doe. Our western inspired weekend will be a rootin' good time.

August 27-29: Redneck Weekend

Embrace your inner Redneck and help us celebrate the sometimes less than couth behaviors we all enjoy.

September 3-6: Labor Day Weekend

One of the biggest weekends of the year, come out for a weekend of fun filled games and activities.

September 17-19: Crisp Cool Camping

Apples anyone? Visit local orchards and wineries; enjoy the year round fun of the Hudson Valley.

September 24-26: Leaf Peepers Weekend

The beautiful foliage will astound you. Take a scenic drive and then enjoy a roaring camp fire to warm you up in the evening.

October 1-3: Fall Harvest Weekend

Help us ring in the Fall Season with activities and fun for all ages. Explore the beauty on our nature trail, bob for apples and enjoy seasonal crafts the entire weekend.

October 8-10: Columbus Day Weekend

Explore the Hudson Valley on this full weekend of historic celebration. Arts and Crafts and games for everyone.

October 15-17, October 22-24, October 29-31: Haunted Halloween Fest

Our famous Halloween activities will spook you! Visit our 8th annual Haunted house, join in the Haystack Scramble, and paint your scariest pumpkin.
