The Fort maintains a theater presentation,museum,11 different cannons from various periods and year-round educational programs. Location is two miles east of downtown savannah. Fort McAllister State Historic ParkFort McAllister State Historic Park is located on the south bank of the Ogeechee River, Serving as a camp and hunt site for the Native Americans from prehistoric times. It guarded the back door to savannah during the Civil War. Park provides hiking and biking - 4.3 miles of trails, picnicking, saltwater fishing, and Fort Tours (call for reservations).
