Don't miss Mother Nature's show each night starting at dusk with the ibis, blue herons and egrets gathering on the island trees of our 35 acre lake!

Oh, Savannah! Who hasn’t heard about this gracious Southern belle of a city, filled with history and made even more famous by novelists? Set up camp here, then set out to explore Savannah’s charming historic district. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage or pick up a walking tour brochure so you can marvel at the more than 1,400 restored buildings. Tybee, Jekyll and Hilton Head islands are all nearby with gorgeous sands, championship golf, deep-sea fishing and other opportunities for fun.

Then return after a busy day of sightseeing to the quiet serenity of Savannah South KOA. Don't miss Mother Nature's show each night starting at dusk with the ibis, blue herons and egrets gathering on the island trees of our 35 acre lake! We have lots of spacious, easy in and out pull thrus, beautiful, shady back-in spaces on the lakefront, along with rustic one or two room kabins and a lodge situated near our lake, (please, no pets or smoking in kabins or lodge). We also offer a coin operated RV wash on-site and a sparking swimming pool too! Bring your poles and tackle because the fish are always biting and no license is required to fish in our lake. There is nothing more relaxing and beautiful than watching our hand raised swans and wide variety of waterfowl. We also have rental boats for your enjoyment.

Check in time is 1 p.m. for RV sites and 3 p.m. for kabins. Check out is noon for all sites. Come enjoy everything that Savannah has to offer!

Hi,
Welcome to KOA Savannah South! Our park was opened in 1973 and remains one of the oldest KOA franchises that is still managed by the same owner/operator family. I've had the personal joy of growing up at this KOA -- now an even better joy in being its day-to-day General Manager. We hope you enjoy your stay with us whether you are on your way from one place to another, or you have decided to stay and visit Savannah for awhile. If you just want to camp and relax with us, there is still plenty to do on our park. We try to be as accommodating as possible! Again, welcome to our park -- we can't wait to see you!

Beaches (Tybee, Jekyll Island, Hilton Head) Photo Beaches (Tybee, Jekyll Island, Hilton Head) Tybee Island is home to the original Tybee Lighthouse dating to 1733, one of the first public structures in the state. The island is fun to explore and its white sand beach is great for watersports of all kinds, with fishing from the pier and deep-sea charters available. Jekyll Island was once the playground of America’s millionaires.

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist This popular area attraction was first built in 1896.
