Denver East / Strasburg KOAMeet Your Hosts Before purchasing their KOA in Colorado, Jeff worked in the aerospace industry and Tracy was an elementary school teacher. In October of 2004, the Hastings left behind their old lifestyle and pursued a new life in the camping industry. They were both avid campers and loved everything about the business. In the summer time, campers interact with "work campers." These campers are campground employees, and they help with anything campers need. "It is a comfortable place away from home," adds Tracy. The park is open year-around, a unique aspect of campgrounds in this region. Tracy says the campground is geared towards people that are looking for a convenient place to stop for the night. "It is quick and easy-right off the interstate where one can relax and then get back on the road," she said. The Hastings are new owners with a new perspective. They are starting fresh and giving the Denver KOA a new name. "We are young and energetic," remarked Tracy, "Our campground is a nice place and very convenient, courteous, and comfortable."
