Tent Reviews

It's an enjoyable campsite. There is plenty to do and it's perfect for families. I was just a little disappointed that for our family reunion we were all spread out throughout the camp site when we were told we would be close together.

The staff was friendly and they have tons of staff! There are lots of activities for younger kids, that my teens did not do, but they would have loved if they were younger. They did enjoy the indoor pool. Mostly for us, it was a place to call home for 5 days while we went and did various activities. I liked the sink for washing dishes and the showers were nice.

Disappointing,Staff was great, but, pool closed restaurant closed.

The campground was very disappointing compared to other KOAs we've stayed at. There were several empty sites available yet we were wedged between two other occupied campsites. Both of which were loud well past 10pm. We were also placed right by the highway where we could hear traffic loud and clear all night long. It was EXTREMELY overpriced. I would not recommend staying here.

One thing you need to be careful of is if you have dogs. The volcanic rock that they use on their sites is horrible on the dogs paws. We had to leave early just for this reason, all three of my dogs had sores on their paws.

The campground staff was great and very friendly. The grounds and facilities were clean. However, there is 24 hour highway noise + tent sites are very close together. My head was 3 ft from the neighboring site's cooler and 6 ft from their tent. They are opening a go cart track soon, but it may make guests happier if they used that area to allow for more spacing between sites.

The grounds were well maintained. Staff was very helpful. Lots of things to do for the kids.

The noise from the trains ad road trains was overwhelming.

Accommodations and personnel were great. Proximity to Grand Canyon is a plus. Interstate noise and trains are loud at night, but you become accustomed to them.

A wonderful place to stay even during the rainy season because of the well maintained roads and tent sites. Also a short trip to Grand Canyon.

The older bald gentleman in the store was RUDE/UNACCOMPANING. The hot tub and pool were out out of order 4/5 of our stay. Will not be returning.

This is our go to KOA in Arizona because it is the best place to beat the heat from Phx. We have stayed here for the past 6 years and the new owners have done and are continuing to do great changes. Minigolf, new playground, mining and got to see Elvis impersonator! Had a blast!

The surroundings are beautiful. We loved being able to hike some small trails up a nearby mountain. The tent sites are a little on the small side, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. We went to Grand Canyon and Bearizona. The only down side of this KOA is Bob in the office. He is rude. He started yelling at us because his staff changed our campsite. He should not work with the public

Its a nice campground but they make you wear these amusement park type wristbands your whole stay. Also they should warn you about the sandflies the wife and myself for both eaten up by them

Actually this was my first KOA ever! My husband and I were visiting national parks for our honeymoon and camping along the way. This place was great! The staff was very friendly, the bathroom was very clean and well stocked, and the hot tub felt glorious after our hike at Grand Canyon. I would definitely stay here again, and/or recommend it to a friend or family member :)

This is my Favorite KOA! But, this visit was disappointing because their was a state wide fire ban. I phoned ahead. I was informaed of the fire ban but told propane grills were OK and available. Sadly when I arrived I was told it was a $20 fee + $80 deposit (Expensive S'mores!) No FOOD, their restaurant was closed and didn't want to pay for grill. SADLY, had to go all the way to Williams to eat.

Great place to stay. Wish there was few more trees for shade.

We love this campground. However this is our first time using our tent instead of staying in a cabin. We had no room and when I asked how to get a bigger site I was told to drive around write down the camp sites I think would work and next time we can ask for that site but dosent mean we would get it. I'm not sure why we would camp here agian if we can't get a site that fits our tent.

Loved the space, trees. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great location to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona. Kids enjoyed the pool and playgrounds. Great place for family fun in the cool pines. ,

We had a great time. This is a very dog friendly KOA, great hiking right out the backdoor.

The campground is beautiful and the facilities were clean and pleasant. Being very close to the hiway is convenient, but also loud at night.

The stay was great just thought the roads into the campground would be a little more motorcycle friendly (paved or blacktop) for the area. Over all a nice campground. would stay again.

Everyone took such care and concern for my family during our trip. We enjoyed everything about this place, it was a perfect place for my young kids to get their first taste of camping. The Elvis concert by Kenny Lee was the icing on top because my kids and us love to dance.

Came in after the office was closed and just needed a spot to sleep. Book said tent sites were either $22.88 or $25. I needed to check out before they opened at 7AM. The couple running the place were on the balcony and when I asked what the total would be, they said something about someone must have put out the wrong book, but assured me it wouldn't be over $25. Total was $35.32.

Very clean bathrooms and friendly staff. I would stay here again.
