Campground Reviews

Lazydays KOA is a great facility and the staff is helpful for most issues. Criticism: The billing department needs to review its process. When we told the staff that we were leaving, we found that our credit card was billed for another month. Despite numerous requests to correct the overpayment mistake, the Koa staff was unable to correct the problem. I was forced to file a credit card dispute!

This is truly an over-the-top RV park. First, it is huge. This is the first time I have seen giant shade structures covered with solar panels at an RV park. I am sure this helps enormously with the summer heat for those camping underneath. Second, it has everything. There is an onsite restaurant and I even saw a pet washing station. I can highly recommend!

LazyDays KOA Tucson is definitely one of the largest and nicest KOA properties I've had the pleasure to stay at. The property is huge, well-maintained, and always a pleasure to visit. The management and staff do a really great job ensuring the safety and enjoyment of their guests.

I love staying at the Tucson KOA, it’s always clean and well staffed. They are always communicating all the activities they are offering. This visit I added a doggy area to my site, it came in handy however it was not really adjacent to my RV, I saw other sites where the area was closer to the RV which would be more convenient. I would highly recommend Lazy Days for anyone passing through Tucson

In town for Granddaughter soccer tournament. Park was only 5 minutes from field. It was very clean and I was amazed at the variety of services and options they offered. So far one of the best Parks I’ve stayed at.

WiFi is too complicated. Many years of RVing never had to create profile to sign in. Need more direction signs, exit etc.

Spot was fine. Dod park fine. Restaurant was good

Well, the amenities and the grounds were impeccable, the cable hook ups could not get a good picture and the Wi-Fi was nonexistent. Even called tech-support, but no one would ever pick up.

Great park. Cher one of the employees was great and hilarious, always had time to stop and have a quick chat. Lots of knowledge of the area and ALWAYS asked if we needed anything.

We stay here every time we visit family in Tucson. It is the best RV park around, larger spaces, foliage, excellent dog park, etc. All others in the area are either in town, tiny, crammed together spaces, etc. It is not in the best surrounding area (Industrial), but we feel very safe in the park. There is nothing around the park to walk to, so what's outside matters not. Great place!

This was our first time at this location. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and everything was so clean! Our site had the doggie pen with shade tree and grass which was great. Will definitely return the this park!

It was great. Just what we wanted for our quick stay

We are huge fans of this KOA. BUT, our exit experience was disappointing, however. Checkout is at 11:00. We got back from a doctor appointment at 10:50. Pulled out at 11:18. The golf cart guy came by 3 times to pressure us to leave. Really??!! The park was only about 25% full on a Monday morning. I am sure no one was waiting for our particular site. Just a little too rigid!!

We just wrapped up our stay at the Tucson Lazydays KOA Resort, and let me tell you, it was a total game-changer for RV camping. Forget the dusty campgrounds of my past - this place was a resort oasis! We opted for a shaded pull-through RV site. Huge solar panel roof is provided perfect shade. We've been little bit dissappointed by the on-site restaurant, BBQ Rush. The food is delicious food, but three counted brisket slices and three counted ribs for almost $30 looks to me little bit out of range. The dog park is awesome, huge, shaded, perfect for any pet. Connectivity is not the best I've seen. The campground WiFi wasn't the most reliable and, due the site we choose, the solar panel roof above is an issue for Starlink as well. Also my T-Mobile 5G back-up connectivity was not performing very well. Overall, the Tucson Lazydays KOA Resort gets two thumbs up from us! It's perfect for campers who crave a resort-style experience with all the trimmings.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.
