Very clean campground-just wish there was a big loop to walk the dog. The dead ends don’t allow much walking as the dog park is always busy and others aren’t always polite to take turns. Adam was great in getting us backed in and everyone was very friendly and helpful!

We always love the Townsedn KOA. But the people on Site 8, on Thursday, Oct 8th, allowed their children to scream well past quiet hours. Even after a Workampet said something to them, it continued. Other people had problems with teens on bikes, especially after dark. Please do something about this. Little kuds giggling is ok. Blood curdling screams, for hours, is another.

The River sites are nice and love the new concrete patios. Public Bathrooms are not the best… men’s toilet seats were broken and not sure how clean they really were. I would also suggest not letting dogs use the restroom by the public landing/beach. Maybe designate an area further away. There was strong smell of dog feces and urine, which turned a beautiful view into a not so pleasant experien

We have been camping for over 10 years. This is our favorite campground.

Great location and plenty to do nearby!

The folks there are great. Jeff and Adam in particular went out of their way to help when our car wouldn’t start due to a dead battery.

Nice campground close to lots of things. But very small spaces, we were unable to use our fire pit because it was right next to our neighbor’s rv .

We love KOA Townsend. We stay every year and have made many friendships along the way. Already scheduled next year! Large sites, great fireplace and large restrooms.

Overall great! All the staff members were super nice. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The campsites weren’t crowded. Will definitely stay again!

Great campground! Very clean and well kept with nice landscaping. The bath house areas were nice and very clean. Steve helped us back our camper into site 14 (a marriage-saving service, as they call it!) and put us in the best spot for us. Other services like trash pick up, propane tank refill (leave your tank out and they pick it up, refill and return) and firewood delivery make it too easy

Location, Location! This is a beautiful place to stay if visiting the Smokey Mountains. The staff is wonderful, helpful and really friendly. My only reason for giving a score of 4, The key to your stay here is the site you pick. We choose a River w/deck and for the price we paid it could have been nicer. The deck wood was rotten we could not use it and the sites were very tight.

We absolutely love this campground. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Plus it’s a beautiful setting. We would like to thank Adam for all his help. This is our 10th year staying at this KOA, and we’ve already made reservations for next year. The whites.ϋ

Beautiful campground! We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed the "peaceful side of the Smokie". I am so glad we stayed here and not in the Hussle and Bussle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved the closeness to the national park, bike trails, and the staff was amazing. Jeff and Adam were great helping us get in and out of our campsite tucked in a perfect setting.

It was our second stay and we liked Our spot. Trees/bushes in between offered some privacy, appreciate the cleanliness and friendly staff. We also love that location is near Cades Cove and area is more quiet.

Always top notch this Kampground is the benchmark we use to judge all others. Seamless check in, always escorted to your site by friendly and knowledgeable staff and help you get tucked in if you wish. Giant mature trees, beautiful rambling river, well groomed grounds are super clean and quiet. Easy access to G-burg and P-forge. Already booked for next year, can't wait!

Campground is always clean, friendly staff and they always offer to help. WiFi is a luxury item and was super fast during the week but seemed to slow down on the weekend when the campground is full. This is an observation and in no way impacts my decision to stay in the future.

Sites are barely big enough for larger size rigs. Exit needs to be widen. Very narrow. WIFi and internet is aweful. Close to National park. Beautiful area.

Top notch campground!! Staff very friendly and helpful leading us to our site and helping us get parked. Very level and clean site. Beautiful trees and creek running through campground. So close to Cades Cove, wineries, breweries and restaurants without the crazy traffic of a city!! Would highly recommend this campground. Excellent cable tv and adequate wifi.

We have stayed with this KOA several times and have always loved it. This time we wanted to bring our daughter so she could enjoy the campground. I had a camp site for us and a deluxe cabin for her and our grandson. They arrived the second day about 11 am so we went to the office to see if we could park her car somewhere till 3 pm at check in. The lady in the office was extremely rude and told us.

Staff we interacted with - outstanding. As a retired couple not traveling with grandkids there is a lot we aren't taking advantage of which makes the price seem a little high. This camp was recommended to us by a couple that also felt cost was high. Great facility, very clean, helpful staff. We loved the Townsend TN area, first time staying in that area. We made decision to come down late!

We had a wonderful stay until we felt threatened by a man at the dog park. He stood in front of the gate, not saying a word and blocked my husband and I in there with our three dogs! Our dogs were going crazy barking and growling at this man who was staring and agitating everyone with his silence. I told him to move. We where trying to leave and I got tangled in my dog’s leash and fell hard

Great place and love the Townsend location. Not the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but close enough if you want to go for the day. Campground is well kept and plenty of friendly KOA members to assist you in any way. Love the local eateries as well.

Beautiful stream side site on the quiet side of the Smokies! Wonderful access to Cades Cove and the north side of the Smokies. This was our third stay over six years and definitely will be back.

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.

Very quiet and peaceful. The bath house is to far from the camping cabins though.
