Campground Reviews

Close to interstate. Close to shopping and restaurants. Grassy lots. Even at end of season.

Dirty, very worn out, I would fire the staff and owner.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I would be interested to know what specific items were dirty or worn out. There are some things we can change, some not. Comments such as this do not help us.

This is the worse KOA we have stayed at. Very old, gravel lots and drive with large ruts. "Deluxe" lot was a joke, Only had a concrete pad that was not even paralell to the lot. A large rock at the edge of the lot where you had to park to be even close to the patio that prevented us from using our outdoor kitchen safely.

Great place,great grapes, thanks

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I do not understand this comment, we do not have grapes. Not sure if this is about our campground.

More people then previous years but had a very good time. Neighbors friendly, a lot to do if you choose. Bill, Nancy and the rest of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Will continue to return next year.

Needs a KOA sign at the Lucky Road intersection. It was hard to find. Otherwise a great place.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There are KOA signs at both corners of Luckey Rd.

Very dusty. Complex layout is hard to understand. Instructions for finding site at checkin were confusing, the drawn map confusing, and we had to go around three times before we finally figured it out.

The manager was very nice.

Very friendly staff, nice sites

Have stayed here many times over the years. It's a convenient stop between Iowa and PA for us. The improvement we saw this year (have missed a few years) was amazing. Will definitely camp here again every time we get the chance.

This is a nice little campground, people are friendly and keep it nice and clean. The only thing I can suggest is a sign at the corner of Luckey Rd. and Route 20 that says KOA on it to make it easier to find. We drove past the road and had to find a place to turn around and go back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There is a sign on Rt 20.

We loved the owners and found the tent sites to have plenty of grass (often missing in campgrounds). We will definitely be back.

Cabin stinks. Campground is tiny, but ok since nothing else is around it.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The cabins have air fresheners, perhaps this customer did not like it.

Nice park. Will stop again when traveling thru.

Host was not very friendly. Bathrooms were dirty and didn't appear to be well kept. No grill for cooking at the Trent sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Restrooms get cleaned daily and are rarely dirty. There is a grill for tent sites.

We had a great time. The campground is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The campground was ok but the bathrooms needed severe cleaning. I do not understand why some koa 'a can clean their bathrooms but others can't. The electric outlets didn't work either. Really dirty

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The bathrooms get cleaned at least once a day.

Love this location for a stop over when traveling west. Office staff could have been a little more friendly. She could use some happy pills. Will continue stopping here knowing that this person will be working somewhere else by then.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We'll make our people aware of the continuing need to smile. ;)

We came for a family gathering, and two of five family groups stayed at this KOA. Sites were close together, with minimal gathering room, but we did fine. It was a quiet and family-friendly place, and the staff was very nice and accommodating. They were diligent about supervision of young kids at the pool, which we appreciated. Bath house/restrooms were clean and comfortable even if small.

Friendly and helpful check-in. Needed an overnight stay for a 31.5' class 'C' with a toad (about 49' total length) and needed a level site long enough so we didn't have to disconnect -- and we got it! Nice sites. Only issue was showers ... could have been better maintained. One in the men's didn't have a soap dish for soap or shampoo. KOA is reasonably close to I-80/90 w/o the road noise.

Staff was friendly and responsive when we arrived. Campground was quiet after 10pm. Restrooms were a bit messy and under kept. Sites were fairly small. Overall OK.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

A night person was released for failing to keep restrooms up.

Bathrooms and pool, run down and dirty, not worth $55 a night

your koa is cetainly family friendly. the nights are very queit even though some are just overnighters. it is definately a good place to bring family of all ages groups
Sep 02, 2014
We loved the ease of reservation and late check in. We appreciate the late check in as well as we were traveling most of the day and to have something waiting and knowing we could still stay just one night was awesome. Thanks!

OK stay but couldn't enjoy outside because of the amount of grit in the air due to dirt roads. They really need to spread some gravel on the roads.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Gravel doesn't help. What we need is a little rain.

Nice dry raised tent area with shade trees available. Pet friendly and overall pretty quiet considering the number of people there.

KOAs are generally well kept with activities for kids. This one was no different. The downside is they pack you in. Our neighbors fire ring was under the next door neighbors RV slideout so they could not use it.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The section these folks were in was built 40 yrs ago, before slide outs, 40 ft trailers and awnings. They are less expensive sites than the larger, roomier sites.
