Florida's Fun Port
Imagine glimmering cruise liners stretched out beneath a tropical blue sky. The catch of the day, prepared just to your liking at one of The Cove's popular restaurants. Airboat Bill's Airboat Adventures offers ½ hour and one hour tours on the St. Johns River. It is located on highway 46, East of Sanford (just 4 miles west of Cape Kennedy KOA). More than just an airboat ride, the tours allow you time to enjoy the river and airboat experience. Passengers travel the shallow sloughs and backwaters in a swift, but comfortable and safe manner with Captain Bill Daniel, a conservationist and river historian. Reservations are required.

The refuge includes four hiking trails, from ¼ mile to 5 miles & a Manatee observation deck. There is a six-mile self-guided driving tour and shaded boardwalks that weave through pine and oak hammocks. This is the second largest sanctuary in Florida.

Tour historic Indian River Lagoon - The Indian River is North America's most species-diverse estuarine system with over 4,300 varieties of plants and animals, including the precious Florida manatee. The lagoon provides 50 percent of eastern Florida's fish catch, and 90 percent of Florida's clam harvest. The lagoon is also home to Canaveral National Seashore Park, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and the Kennedy Space Center.
