KOA Campfire Time
When the sun goes down, campfire time begins. Gather around the fire pit and get acquainted with your fellow campers. Campfire time promises all the classics: toasting marshmallows, eating s'mores, belting out camp tunes during sing-a-longs. We've even been known to swap a scary story or two! (in season) Every Saturday
Interactive Dog Park
At KOA, we strive to offer something for every member of your family. Which is why we're pleased to announce our new interactive dog park! Lose the leash and let your dog run wild across manicured lawns, free within our fenced play land designed exclusively for canines.
Bring a piece of your trip home with you: make a t-shirt during craft hour. Your tie-dyed t-shirt will be a wearable memento from your vacation. Bring your own T-shirt with you or buy one from us for $5.00. With a demonstration and all supplies provided, this retro activity satisfies campers of all ages. Remember, there is no right or wrong way to tie-dye! (In Season)
Top Your Own Sundae
I scream, you scream, we all scream for sundaes! We serve up your favorite toppings such as chocolate syrup and whipped cream, and a chance to mingle with your fellow campers. (In season)
Full Service Marina
At our full service marina, we offer five different vessels to enjoy on the water. The kids will want to grab a paddle and cut the water in one of our canoes or tandem sea kayaks. The whole family will enjoy scooting around in one of our pontoons or fishing boats, available for full- or half-day rental. All of our equipment is Coast Guard-inspected and approved. Each rental includes a brief tutorial, life jacket, and other safety precautions. We recommend reserving your rental when you reserve your campsite.

Meet Your Hosts
"Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA is your Camping headquarters while you're enjoying all that Key West has to offer!"Jeff and Gloria Goins are dedicated to making camping a memorable experience and making it GREAT for all the campers visiting the campground.
"We have many fond memories of camping with our kids and now with their kids," said manager Jeff Goins. "We get great pleasure from giving first-time campers and younger guests experiences they can fondly reflect on for the rest of their lives."
Once the Goins left their day jobs, they became hooked on the RV lifestyle. From there, they found that the mission and atmosphere of KOA Kampgrounds matched their own priorities of family and customer service.
Before becoming involved in KOA's management program, Jeff spent six years as a workamper for KOA. For 20 years prior to that, Jeff owned and managed an automotive design and prototype shop in Michigan.
Gloria spent her early years raising their family and as the kids grew up, she helped Jeff with his business. Now, they each bring their own, specialized skills to the management of Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA; Jeff is the campground's General Manager and Gloria focuses on the store and bookkeeping.
Jeff believes that "to create a memorable camping experience, it requires many levels of customer service; starting with ease in reservation, greeting and making guests feel at home upon arrival, the availability of a well-trained staff with willingness to assist when needed, and a clean, safe well-maintained campground."
They've found that Jeff's ability to defuse potential problem situations is a rare and valuable ability. Jeff's favorite question is, 'What can I do to make you a happy camper?'"
Jeff and Gloria are enjoying getting to know their new area and meeting all their guests who travel through and stay with them. They have three grown children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jeff enjoys painting, fishing and hiking. Gloria enjoys reading, weaving, hiking and all crafts.
